A protection circuit is for a medium voltage or high voltage transformer and includes a sensing device, a measurement device, and a switching device. The sensing device is configured to be connected between a primary winding of a voltage transformer and ground potential. The measurement device is connected to the sensing device and the measurement device is configured to measure at least one parameter sensed by the sensing device. The protection circuit is configured to analyse the measured at least one parameter sensed by the sensing device. The protection circuit is configured to generate a trip signal based on the analysis of the measured at least one parameter sensed by the sensing device. The switching device is configured to receive the generated trip signal and disconnect the voltage transformer from a high voltage potential.

Protection circuit for a medium voltage or high voltage transformer

A voltage and or current sensor device for use in medium- or high voltage application, wherein a sensor or sensors of the sensor device is or are arranged in a housing. To enhance communication between the sensor and an electronical device, in order to use maximum possible accuracy potential of the voltage and current sensors, a signal and/or data memory element is integrated in the sensor housing, or placed near the sensor such that the sensor device output signal can be directly evaluated.

Current and/or voltage sensor device with a memory element

An exemplary voltage sensor device includes at least one high voltage segment and at least one low voltage impedance element. In order to enhance the power dissipation due to impedances spread inside of the device body, the sensor device can be adapted or extended such that at least one high voltage segment, and at least one low voltage impedance element are arranged on an elongated insulating support with adaptive complementary mechanical and electrical interconnection elements on at least one end of the support element. The mechanical and electrical interconnection elements provide a manner of interconnecting at least two elongated insulating supports together in a pivotable way.

Voltage sensor device

A voltage measurement device includes an insulating body, for the use in medium- or high-voltage equipment or switchgears The insulating body includes an impedance divider having at least one high voltage impedance and at least one low voltage impedance in series, and with shielding electrodes. In order to optimize the circuit design for voltage measurement design in a given application and prevent the risk of malfunction when the same device it is used in multiple applications or at severe environmental or operating conditions, the device includes at least one high-voltage shielding electrode and/or at least one low-voltage shielding electrode which dimensions together establish a physical length of the impedance divider. The shielding electrodes surround the high and/or low voltage impedances, which provide a specified voltage division ratio and which are located inside or outside of the insulating body. An output of the impedance divider is connected to a shielded cable.

Voltage measurement device with an insulating body

A multifunctional measuring device, such as for measuring a current in a primary current conductor in a medium voltage switchgear is disclosed which includes a housing with an aperture for accommodation of the primary current conductor; an inner winding accommodated around the aperture inside of the housing for a measurement of current in a primary current conductor; and an external winding wound on the housing around the aperture for another current measurement.

Multifunctional measuring device

A resistive structure has an improved electric field profile deposited on the surface of a cylindrical insulating substrate. At least one resistive path or trace is provided with a helix-looking shape and is directly printed on the surface of the insulating substrate. A resistive voltage divider includes first and second resistors electrically connected in series, where each resistor is made of one or more traces of electrically resistive film material applied onto a cylindrical insulating substrate. At least one of the traces is shaped like a helix and is applied onto the substrate by direct printing.
