A filter assembly includes a manifold having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet and a filter housing having a filter medium provided therein. The filter medium defines an inner filter chamber and defining an outer filter chamber between the filter medium and the filter housing. The filter housing is removably attached to the manifold so as to provide a fluid flow path from the inlet into the inner filter chamber, through the filter medium into the outer chamber and out of the outlet. The filter assembly also includes a valve assembly mounted inside the manifold, and a by-pass channel defined inside the manifold between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The valve assembly comprises a valve spool and a valve spring arranged in engagement with the spool to bias the spool into a first position and to compress, in response to a pressure differential across the valve spool.

Filter valve assembly

A fuel filter is provided which comprises a manifold, a connector element, a filter bowl, a filter element, an inlet shutoff valve, an outlet shutoff valve, an inlet port, an inlet passage, an outlet port, an outlet passage and a relief valve in which the connector element is fixed to the manifold, and the filter bowl is reversibly fixed to the connector element. The filter bowl is adapted to reversibly receive the filter element and is so configured that when the filter element is located within the filter bowl and the filter bowl attached to the connection element the filter element divides the space defined by the connector element and filter bowl into an inlet filter chamber and an outlet filter chamber. The inlet port mouths through a surface of the manifold, and the inlet port and inlet filter chamber are in fluid communication via the inlet passage.

Fuel filter assembly

A fuel filter is provided which includes a manifold, a connector element, a filter bowl, a filter element, an inlet shutoff valve, an outlet shutoff valve, an inlet port, an inlet passage, an outlet port, an outlet passage and a relief valve in which the connector element is fixed to the manifold, and the filter bowl is reversibly fixed to the connector element. The filter bowl is adapted to reversibly receive the filter element and is so configured that when the filter element is located within the filter bowl and the filter bowl attached to the connection element, the filter element divides the space defined by the connector element and filter bowl into an inlet filter chamber and an outlet filter chamber and the inlet port is incorporated in the manifold, and the inlet port and inlet filter chamber are in fluid communication via the inlet passage.

A retention mechanism for releasably securing a receptacle to another component includes a ratchet lever pivotally mounted about a screw, a torsion spring having a first end attached to a first end of the lever and being biased to pivot the lever about the screw axis to a first, locked position. A second end of the lever engages, in use, with teeth provided on the receptacle to secure the receptacle against rotation relative to the other component. The mechanism has a compression spring arranged to bias the lever in an axial position such that, in the first, locked position, the second end of the lever engages the teeth. The first end of the lever is configured to receive pressure from a user against the force of the torsion spring to pivot the lever about the axis such that the second end of the lever disengages from the teeth.

Filter bowl retention mechanism

A filter assembly includes a manifold having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, a filter housing having a filter medium provided therein, the filter medium defining an inner filter chamber and defining an outer filter chamber between the filter medium and the filter housing, the filter housing being removably attached to the manifold. The filter assembly includes a valve assembly mounted inside the manifold, and a by-pass channel defined inside the manifold between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet. The valve assembly includes a valve body, a by-pass valve system, and a shut off valve system. The by-pass valve system includes a by-pass valve piston having a piston body, and a by-pass valve spring arranged to move the by-pass valve piston. The shut off valve system includes a shut off valve piston, and a shut off valve spring arranged to move the shut off valve piston.

A fuel filter includes a manifold, a connector element, a filter bowl, a filter element, an inlet shutoff valve, an outlet shutoff valve, an inlet port, an inlet passage, an outlet port, an outlet passage and a relief valve in which the connector element is fixed to the manifold, and the filter bowl is reversibly fixed to the connector element, the connector element and the manifold define a chamber and the chamber is split into a second inlet chamber and a second outlet chamber by the relief valve. The filter bowl is adapted to reversibly receive the filter element and is so configured that when the filter element is located within the filter bowl and the filter bowl attached to the connection element, the filter element divides the space defined by the connector element and filter bowl into an inlet filter chamber and an outlet filter chamber.

A fuel filter includes a manifold, a connector element, a filter bowl, a filter element, a shutoff valve, an inlet port, an inlet passage, an outlet port, an outlet passage and a relief valve in which the connector element is fixed to the manifold, and the filter bowl is reversibly fixed to the connector element, the filter bowl is adapted to reversibly receive the filter element and is so configured that when the filter element is located within the filter bowl and the filter bowl attached to the connection element the filter element divides the space defined by the connector element and filter bowl into an inlet filter chamber and an outlet filter chamber, the inlet port is incorporated in the manifold, and the inlet port and inlet filter chamber are in fluid communication via the inlet passage, the outlet port is incorporated in the manifold.

There is provided an apparatus comprising a torque motor comprising a spring, armature, flapper assembly ('SAFA'), a body, wherein the spring, armature, flapper assembly is mounted onto the body, and a cap enclosing the spring, armature, flapper assembly. One or more cooling passages are provided within the body and are configured to receive cooling air and direct the cooling air onto the spring, armature, flapper assembly of the torque motor.
