A safety apparatus () for a battery () has a base () for a vehicle (), sensors () and an evaluation apparatus (). Each sensor () is designed to generate a sensor signal () on a basis of a deformation of the base () and to supply the sensor signal to the evaluation apparatus (). The evaluation apparatus () ascertains from the sensor signals () both first information about the location of the deformation of the base () and second information about the level of the deformation, and uses the first information and the second information as a basis for determining whether a first state (Z) is present, in which a driving mode can be maintained, or whether a second state (Z) is present, in which a driving mode can no longer be maintained.

Safety apparatus for a battery

A cell module is provided for a traction battery of a vehicle. The cell module includes a plurality of cells arranged in a series circuit and also includes at least two cell monitoring circuits for identifying a voltage applied between two poles of each cell of the plurality of cells. Each cell monitoring circuit of the two cell monitoring circuits has first and second voltage supply connections. The first voltage supply connection is coupled to a positive pole of a first cell and the second voltage supply connection is coupled to a negative pole of a second cell. The cell module further includes a switching apparatus that selectively couples the first voltage supply connection of a first cell monitoring circuit and the second voltage supply connection of a second cell monitoring circuit to a respective one of two positive poles or to one of two negative poles of different cells.

An energy supply device for a vehicle having an electric drive, comprising a high-voltage battery having two high-voltage connection contacts and at least one battery string, which is arranged between the high-voltage connection contacts, and at least two string contacts between which the at least one battery string is arranged, and a DC/DC converter, the output side of which provides a low voltage for a low-voltage system of the vehicle and the input side of which is electrically conductively connected to the at least one battery string by way of the two string contacts, wherein the energy supply device is embodied to supply electrical energy to the low-voltage system of the vehicle by way of the at least one battery string in the event of a fault. Safe energy supply device for a vehicle

A method for operating a protective apparatus and a protective apparatus, in particular a self-tripping explosive fuse, wherein the protective apparatus includes a fuse element, which is designed to interrupt a conductor section by an explosion. A tripping unit is designed to trip the explosion by an ignition voltage (U) when the ignition voltage exceeds a prescribed value. The protective apparatus has a thermoelectric element, which generates the ignition voltage (U) depending on heating of the conductor section.

Self-tripping explosive fuse

Traction battery of a motor vehicle includes a battery frame which is assembled from supports. A plurality of battery modules are accommodated in the battery frame and are each composed of a plurality of battery cells which are accommodated in a module housing of the respective battery module. The respective module housing is assembled from side walls and a base wall. The base wall of the respective module housing is designed as a cooling panel for cooling the battery cells. A cover panel is connected to is the battery frame. An underride guard panel is connected to the battery frame.

Traction battery of a motor vehicle

A method for autonomously interconnecting at least two battery banks in a drive system of a motor vehicle, the drive system comprising at least one electric motor, at least two battery banks, at least one traction system which can be supplied with power by at least one battery bank, and at least one DC/DC converter which can be connected to at least one battery bank. The battery banks can be interconnected with one another in series and/or in parallel and at least one battery bank can be bridged, wherein, during autonomous operation of the motor vehicle, respective interconnection of the at least two battery banks is automatically carried out within the drive system, depending on a respective operating state of the motor vehicle.

Autonomous interconnection of a drive battery

A motor vehicle battery includes a battery housing. The battery housing has a housing interior bounded in sections by a housing frame and a housing base. The motor vehicle battery further includes a plurality of battery modules arranged in the housing interior. The motor vehicle battery further includes at least one first cooling duct. The at least one first cooling duct is formed in the region of the housing base, for cooling the battery modules from a first side. The housing interior is bounded by a housing cover or by a housing lid opposite the housing base. At least one second cooling duct for cooling the battery modules from a second side is formed in the region of the housing cover or of the housing lid.

Motor vehicle battery

An apparatus for storing electric energy for a motor vehicle includes a plurality of energy storage modules and a main body which can be fastened to the motor vehicle. Each energy storage module includes energy storage for storing the electric energy and a carrier, in which the energy storage is arranged. The carrier is fastened in an individually detachable manner to the main body in the state in which it is fastened to the motor vehicle, with the result that a first one of the energy storage modules can be removed from the apparatus without it being necessary for the carrier of a second one of the energy storage modules to be detached from the main body.

Apparatus for storing electric energy for a motor vehicle

A battery module, in particular for a battery for driving a vehicle, having a plurality of individual stackable battery cells, and two module end plates. The battery cells are stacked and held between the two module end plates. The battery cells are electrically coupled to one another, and the two module end plates are electrically coupled to the battery cells and each have an electrical contact for connection of the battery module. The battery module has at least one intermediate element, each intermediate element being electrically coupled to adjacent battery cells. Each intermediate element divides the battery module into a plurality of submodules, and each intermediate element electrically connects the submodules. Also described is a battery, in particular for driving a vehicle, having a plurality of the abovementioned battery modules, as well as a vehicle having an electric drive and an abovementioned battery.

An emergency degassing arrangement for a housing in the motor vehicle sector, in particular a battery housing. The housing encloses at least one housing interior and has at least one housing opening which is closed by a covering device. The covering device has at least one membrane, a spike member and a sensor device in such a manner that, when a defined internal pressure in the respective housing interior is exceeded, the sensor device detects the exceeding and the membrane can be destroyed. The spike member is mounted resiliently in the covering device by a spring member.

Emergency degassing arrangement for a housing in the motor vehicle sector

A cooling circuit for a liquid-cooled electric battery, in particular for a liquid-cooled electric battery in an electrically operated vehicle, having an encircling coolant line, a heat exchanger arranged in the coolant line, and a coolant pump for transporting a cooling liquid through the coolant line. The cooling circuit has a Buchholz relay which is arranged in the coolant line and which has a signal output for connecting to a monitoring unit. Also disclosed is a liquid-cooled battery arrangement having a liquid-cooled battery, a cooling circuit as above, and a cooling liquid, wherein the liquid-cooled battery is connected to the coolant line, and the cooling circuit and the liquid-cooled battery are filled with the cooling liquid. Also disclosed is a vehicle having such a liquid-cooled battery arrangement.
