A magnetic resonance (MR) imaging system has an infrastructure within a cloud, designed to generate and/or activate and/or deactivate and/or terminate virtual systems on demand, which generate and operate multiple MR workflows as instances. The virtual systems has a cloud-based virtual MR host with an active MR workflow connected on demand to an MR control computer that operates an MR scanner to control an imaging process on the basis of one of the workflows. A client unit transmits patient-specific data to the virtual MR host and evaluates image data received from the virtual MR host.

In a method for slice positioning of an examination subject in a magnetic resonance system an item of localization information describing the arrangement of the examination subject is automatically determined at least one item of alignment information is automatically determined. At least one slice positioning entry is acquired by an operator, which includes a selection of one of the items of alignment information or an item of manual positioning information. Offset information, which includes a relative slice positioning effected by the manual positioning information, is automatically determined and the slice positioning is determined as a function of the slice positioning entries and the offset information. The offset information is stored separately from the slice positioning in a magnetic resonance measurement protocol, and is used in a further configuration of a further slice positioning.

In a method and a computer-readable storage medium for creating a simulation environment for a simulation system of a medical imaging device by a server unit, as well as a server unit and a simulation system for implementing such a method, after reading in an event protocol of the medical imaging device, a determination of a software configuration of the medical imaging device takes place with the use of the event protocol and a determination of a memory image that corresponds to the software configuration of the medical imaging device. The determined memory image can be transferred to the simulation system and the read-in event protocol transferred to the simulation system.

Method and simulation system for creating a simulation environment of a medical imaging device

In a method and magnetic resonance (MR) apparatus for an adaptation of a slice positioning within a slice protocol for an MR examination of a first body region and a second body region of a patient, wherein the two body regions are formed and/or arranged mirror-symmetrical to one another within the patient, the slice protocol for the MR examination is designated, and a manual adaptation of the slice protocol takes place for positioning at least one slice of the MR examination for the first body region by means of at least one first adaptation value. An automatic determination of a second adaptation value is made for positioning of at least one slice of the magnetic resonance examination for the second body region, the determination of the second adaptation value depending on the first adaptation value. An automatic adaptation of the slice protocol of the magnetic resonance examination for the second body region is then made, dependent on the second adaptation value.
