A method is used to provide an electrically conductive article. The method includes: (i) providing a continuous polymeric web of a transparent polymeric substrate; (ii) forming a first photocurable pattern on at least a first portion on a first supporting side of the continuous polymeric web using a photocurable composition comprising metal particles; (iii) exposing the photocurable pattern to form a photocured pattern on the first portion of the first supporting side; (iv) electrolessly plating the photocured pattern with an electrically-conductive metal to form an electrically-conductive metal pattern; and (v) forming a dry outermost polymeric coating over at least part but not all of the electrically-conductive pattern, the dry polymeric coating having a dry thickness of less than 5 &#x3bc;m, an integrated transmittance of at least 80%, and comprising a non-crosslinked thermoplastic polymer having a glass transition temperature (T) that is equal to or greater than 65&#xb0; C.

A method of film fabrication is taught that uses a coating and drying apparatus to fabricate resin films suitable for optical applications. In particular, polycarbonate films are prepared by simultaneous application of multiple liquid layers to a moving carrier substrate. After solvent removal, the polycarbonate films are peeled from the sacrificial carrier substrate. Polycarbonate films prepared by the current invention exhibit good dimensional stability and low birefringence.

Phosphor-containing panels or screens have improved resistance to yellowing and image defects by the incorporation of a primary or secondary amine having a pKa of 8.5 or more and a molecular weight of less than 10,000 daltons into the phosphor layer or an overcoat layer. A peroxide scavenger can also be present to further improve stability of the phosphor panel. The phosphors are preferably storage phosphors containing iodine. This phosphor panels can be prepared using non-peroxide-generating organic solvents for further stabilization.
