The present embodiments refer to a controlling system configured to be installed in a recreational vehicle, cooling devices comprising or coupled to such controlling systems, a recreational vehicle comprising such controlling systems and methods for controlling cooling the cooling devices. The controlling system comprises a central processing unit, a read out unit and a controlling unit and is configured to be coupled to a plurality of electronic devices of the recreational vehicle. The read out unit of the controlling system is configured to read out data from the electronic devices and/or sensors of the recreational vehicle coupled to the controlling system and to forward the read out data to the central processing unit. The central processing unit is configured to receive and to process the read out data received from the read out unit and to forward processed data to the controlling unit. The controlling unit is configured to receive the processed data from the central processing unit and to control at least one of the electronic devices based on at least some of the processed data.

A refrigerating device having a refrigerating chamber, which is defined by side walls, an upper wall and a lower wall and a front opening. The refrigerating device further comprises a door which is configured to allow sealing of the front opening and to allow accessing the refrigerating chamber via the front opening, an input panel comprising a display, an input knob and a processing unit. The display depicts a plurality of items which correspond to a plurality of executable input methods to be triggered by a user via actuation of the input knob.

The present invention is intended to provide a refrigerating device for a recreational vehicle, comprising a refrigerating chamber which is defined by side walls, an upper wall and a lower wall and a front opening, the refrigerating device further comprising a door which is configured to allow sealing of the front opening and to allow accessing the refrigerating chamber via the front opening, an input panel comprising a display, an input knob and a processing unit. The present invention is directed to a Cabinet for a recreational vehicle having a main housing with an interior space, a front opening, a left side and a right side; and a door configured to seal the front opening. The cabinet further comprises a left hinge mechanism with a left hinge axis and a right hinge mechanism with a right hinge axis to selectively couple the door hinge-wise to the left side or the right side so that the door can either be rotated about the left hinge axis or the right hinge axis. The door comprises a left handle which is operably coupled to the left hinge mechanism and the right hinge mechanism so that operating the left handle allows to rotate the door about the right hinge axis. The door further comprises a right handle which is operable coupled to the left hinge mechanism and the right hinge mechanism so that operating the right handle allows to rotate the door about the left hinge axis. The left hinge mechanism comprises a left locking member separate from the left hinge axis and the right hinge mechanism comprises a right locking member separate from the right hinge axis; and the left locking member and the right locking member are in engagement with a blocking element. Operating the left handle displaces the blocking element so that the left locking member is disengaged from the blocking element, and operating the right handle displaces the blocking element so that the right locking member is disengaged from the blocking element.
