A composite drainboard includes a patterned substrate core having an inward surface, and opposed outward facing surface. The substrate core comprises a plurality of projections, forming concavities on the inward surface. A first geotextile membrane is attached to the substrate core and covers the outward facing surface. A second membrane is attached to the substrate core to cover the inward facing surface and the concavities to provide a substantially smooth coating to the inward surface. The second membrane at least partially absorbs a liquid applied waterproofing.

A water vapour-permeable building sheet material, that may be adhered in overlapping relationship against a building structure, includes a water vapour permeable membrane having first and second opposing surfaces, wherein the surface energy of the second opposing surface is less than 35 mN/m; an adhesive layer that is vapour permeable, applied to the first face of the membrane; and an adhesive region applied to the second opposing surface. Two segments of the sheet material may be placed in overlapping relationship so that adhesive in the adhesive layer applied to the first face of the membrane of one of two segments adheres to the adhesive region applied to the second opposing face of the other of the two segments to form a substantially air impermeable boundary between the two segments, when overlapping, preventing lateral migration of air between the two segments. A building envelope may be so formed.

Adherent water vapour permeable air and moisture barrier sheet material

In a foundation assembly, a moisture barrier is placed on a footing and a foundation wall is on the moisture barrier. The moisture barrier thus isolates the foundation wall from the footing. The footing defines a keyway. The moisture barrier comprises a waterproof layer, a bottom layer attached to bottom side of the waterproof layer, and a top layer attached to the top side of the waterproof layer. The waterproof layer blocks passage of water therethrough. The bottom layer is for attaching the moisture barrier to the footing, and comprises a material that attracts water and binds to cement. The moisture barrier comprises a keyway portion sufficiently flexible and configured to fit the keyway in the footing. When the keyway portion fits to the keyway on the footing, it defines a secondary keyway for receiving a key portion of the foundation wall.

The invention relates to a multi-layered building wall provided with an inner wall comprising a building inner surface and an outer surface, and a fa&#xe7;ade layer forming the outer side of the building wall. The aim of the invention is to provide a multi-layered building wall, wherein damp penetrating the wall from the inside or the outside is reliably drained off. To this end, a draining vapor barrier () having a cavity-forming structure on both sides and an S&#x3c;SB&#x3e;D&#x3c;/SB&#x3e;-value=50 m corresponding to an equivalent air layer thickness is arranged on the outer surface of the inner wall ().

Multi-layered building wall

The invention relates to an attachment element for studded plastic sheets comprising a base body with at least one stud projecting from a front of the base body. To provide an attachment means that results both in a tear-resistant attachment of the studded plastic sheet to the building wall and in extensive surface contact at a top edge of the studded plastic sheet, it is provided that a head portion is arranged on the base body, which fully or at least partially projects from the front of the base body with a resiliently deformable area.
