A bumper cross member for a motor vehicle, having a crossmember extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, and two crashboxes connected thereto and designed as hollow chamber sections. Each crashbox is connected with its end facing away from the vehicle to the crossmember in a respective end section thereof, and may be connected, with its end facing the vehicle, to a structural component of the vehicle. The crashboxes are supported with their end faces only in sections on the rear side of the crossmember, in particular such that the support is continuous or at least substantially continuous either in the upper and lower end-face areas, or in the two lateral end-face areas, while support of the other end-face areas is provided only in sections or absent. The distance between the end-face areas of the crashboxes, which are unsupported on the crossmember, is set from the rear side of the crossmember, such that only after a first phase of energy absorption with deformation of the crashbox is the end face facing the crossmember supported over its whole surface on the rear side of the crossmember.

Bumper crossbeam for a motor vehicle

A bumper crossmember for a motor vehicle having a crossmember extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle and two crashboxes connected thereto. Each crashbox is connected with its end facing away from the vehicle to the crossmember in a respective end section thereof, and with its end facing the vehicle is connectable to a structural component of the vehicle, e.g., a longitudinal member. The crossmember has a corrugated structure in the area where a crashbox is connected. A tow sleeve is integrated into the bumper crossmember in the connection area of the crashbox. The tow sleeve is held in a vertex structure of the corrugated structure in a form-fitting manner in the z and y directions, the vertex area of this vertex structure facing away from the crashbox, with the lateral surface of the tow sleeve on the flanks facing one another and forming the vertex structure.

Bumper cross beam for a motor vehicle

A bumper crossmember comprising a wave structure oriented in the vertical direction (z direction), wherein the wave structure comprises at least three apex structures which extend in the bumper crossmember longitudinal direction and are adjacent in the vertical direction. This crossmember comprises a first length section that follows its longitudinal extent, at least one second length section that follows its longitudinal extent, and at least one transition section that is arranged respectively between these length sections. In the second length section, the wave structure is inverted with respect to the first length section, in that the opening direction of the apex structures switches in the transition section. In the transition section, there is at least one additional apex-forming structure, the apex of which is offset in the frontal direction (x direction) with respect to a frontal plane (yz-plane) in which at least two apex structures that are adjacent in the longitudinal sections lie.

Bumper cross car beam

A carrier component for a vehicle application, formed by two half-shells that are welded to one another at contact sides. When assembling the two half-shells for joining same at the contact sides, in a position in which the two half-shells are arranged above one another, the point of contact of the lower half-shell protrudes in relation to the external closed side of the other half-shell. The point of contact of one of the two half-shells protrudes inward in relation to the internal closed side of the other half-shell. A method for producing a carrier component from two half-shells is also disclosed.

A bumper, which comprises a bumper crossmember having an outer shell and having at least one sensor holder arranged therein, and an outer cladding shell. The at least one sensor holder is implemented as an impressed pocket originating from the front-side termination of the outer shell and having an upper wall, a lower wall and a base connecting the two walls. On the side of the outer cladding shell pointing toward the bumper crossmember, in the region of a sensor holder, the outer cladding shell carries at least one sensor engaging in the sensor holder.

Bumper

A bumper cross-member for a vehicle having an outer shell and an inner shell connected to the outer shell and having a cut-out section which comprises at least one cut-out passing through the bumper cross-member in the x-direction. The bumper cross-member is divided in the z-direction thereof into at least three sections, of which a first and a second hollow chamber section are separated by a cut-out section located between them.

Bumper cross-member

A vehicle longitudinal member arrangement having two longitudinal members that are spaced apart from one another in the z direction and are designed to absorb energy in the case of an impact, and having a connection component which connects the longitudinal members to one another. The connection component has its main extension in one plane and has an upper attachment section and a lower attachment section. The connection component is arranged with its main extension plane parallel to the longitudinal extension of the longitudinal members connected by said component. Each of the two attachment sections has two attachment points arranged spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal extension of the longitudinal members, at which points the connection component is connected to the respective longitudinal member, while the section of the connection component located between the attachment points is not connected to the respective longitudinal member. The connection component is designed to be weaker in its section located between the attachment points in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the longitudinal member than the sections bearing the attachment points, for the absorption of impact energy.

A battery case for a vehicle driven by an electric motor, said battery case comprising a tray part () which has a base () onto which side walls () having a mounting flange () are molded, and comprising a frame structure () which surrounds the tray part () on the outer side thereof and has a hollow chamber (). Battery housing

A battery housing for a vehicle driven by an electric motor comprises a tray part including a bottom and side walls integrally formed thereon, and furthermore comprises a frame structure surrounding the tray part on the outside, wherein a gap remains between the side walls and the frame structure disposed on the outside thereof. At least two side walls of the tray part located opposite one another with respect to the tray volume each have at least one embossment, which is designed to point away from the tray volume and is supported on the frame structure. A brace disposed in the tray part is supported with the end-face ends thereof in the mutually opposing embossments.

The disclosure relates to an assembly for a motor vehicle with an auxiliary frame to connect to a wheel suspension, whereby the auxiliary frame may be constructed in a shell construction having an upper shell and a lower shell. The shells may enclose an internal shell space and be rigidly connected to each other. The assembly may also comprise a shock-absorbing structure. The shock-absorbing structure can be fully or partially integrated in the internal shell space of the auxiliary frame in the form of an insert and immovably positioned within it.

Assembly for a motor vehicle with an auxiliary frame and an impact absorption structure

The invention relates to a vehicle bumper assembly () having a bumper cross-member () and at least two energy-absorption components (), which are arranged at a distance from one another and which are connected to the rear side of the bumper cross-member () and supported thereon by means of a first end. The energy-absorption components have an x-direction absorption effective direction oriented perpendicular to the y-axes longitudinal extension of the bumper. The energy-absorption components () are designed to be supported on a chassis part () of a vehicle by means of the end of the energy-absorption components pointing away from the bumper cross-member, wherein the energy-absorption component () has a slanted end face () in the direction toward the bumper cross-member (). According to the invention, the entire or substantially the entire end face () of the energy-absorption component () is supported on the rear side of the bumper cross-member (), and the plane of the end face () of the energy-absorption component () facing the bumper, and thus the bumper cross-member (), is oriented such that the front side thereof is arranged at an angle to the plane extending orthogonally to the force application direction of the AZT structure test.
