The present disclosure relates to a power supply apparatus for an electric system including an AC/DC conversion unit electrically connectable to an AC electric power source, said conversion unit being configured to receive an AC input voltage and provide in output a DC charging voltage, a capacitor bank including a plurality of storage capacitors operatively coupled to said conversion unit to be charged in parallel by said conversion unit, each storage capacitor having a first terminal configured to receive a charging current provided by said AC/DC conversion unit, a DC bus electrically connectable to one or more electric loads, said DC bus being configured to feed said electric loads with a DC feeding voltage, and a plurality of current blocking devices electrically connected between said capacitor bank and said DC bus.

A coil actuator for low and medium voltage applications including: a coil electromagnet having a single coil winding and a movable member; and a power and control unit including: a power circuit operatively coupled with the coil electromagnet, the power circuit including input terminals for receiving an input voltage and an intermediate node, the electromagnet being electrically connected with the input terminal and the intermediate node, the power circuit further including a discharge circuit, which is electrically connected with the first input terminal and the intermediate node in parallel with the coil winding, and a switch circuit, which is electrically connected with the intermediate node and the second input terminal, the switch circuit including at least a power switch; a controller operatively coupled with the power circuit to drive the at least a power switch to control of an input current circulating through the power circuit, the controller being adapted to perform a PWM control of the input current to operate the coil electromagnet; a power supply circuit adapted to feed the controller. The power supply circuit is electrically connected with the intermediate node and the controller.

A coil actuator for low and medium voltage applications comprising a coil electromagnet provided with a single coil winding and a movable anchor and a power and control unit comprising: a power circuit operatively coupled with said coil electromagnet, said power circuit comprising input terminals, at which said power circuit receives an input voltage; a PWM controller operatively coupled with said power circuit, said PWM controller being adapted to control an input current flowing through said power circuit to obtain and maintain an average operating level selected an excitation current feeding said coil electromagnet. Said PWM controller is adapted to set a plurality of reference values for said input current to control said input current, each reference value for said input current being selected among said plurality of reference values depending on the behavior of said input voltage.

Subsea electric power distribution installation

A method is provided for determining the operating status a MV switching apparatus. The method includes providing a test signal to the test winding for an observation period of time, the test signal having a waveform capable of exciting the magnetic element; obtaining first measuring data indicative of a voltage at first terminals of the capacitor bank during the observation period of time; obtaining second measuring data indicative of a voltage at second terminals of the test winding and indicative of a current circulating along the test winding during the observation period of time; and, calculating estimation data indicative of the operating status of the capacitor bank at the end of the observation period of time on the basis of the first and second measuring data, the first estimation data comprising a first estimation value indicative of the capacitance of the capacitor bank.

Method for determining the operating status of a MV switching apparatus of the electromagnetic type

An electronic charger for electric power distribution installations is provided. The electronic charger includes a DC/DC converter of the SEPIC type including an input stage, an output stage and a coupling capacitor. The input stage is electrically connected with input terminals and includes an input inductor and a switching device. The output stage is electrically connected with output terminals and includes an output inductor, an output capacitor and a blocking device. The coupling capacitor is configured to electrically couple the input stage and the output stage with a capacitive coupling. A first sensor provides a first sensing signal indicative of a charging current. A first controller receives the first sensing signal and a reference signal and provides a driving signal to control the switching device.

Electronic charger for electric power distribution installations and a control method thereof

A method for determining the operating status of a MV switching device is provided. The method includes providing a test signal to said test coil for an observation period of time. Measuring data is obtained which is indicative of the voltage at the terminals of the test coil and of the current circulating along the test coil during the observation period of time. Observation data is calculated which is indicative of the electric behavior of the test coil at the end of said observation period of time. A transformation function is selected which is indicative of the electromagnetic behavior of the electromagnetic actuator. First estimation data is calculated which is indicative of the operating status of the electromagnetic actuator.

The power supply device comprises a current transformer, which is operatively associated to a main power line. An input section of the power supply device comprises a burden regulating stage that is configured to regulate the equivalent electric load at the secondary winding of said current transformer. An output section of the power supply device provides a supply voltage suitable to feed said electronic device.
