The invention relates to a filter element () having a first fluid path () for filtering a first fluid and a second fluid path () having a fluid line () for carrying a second fluid, wherein a non-return valve () is arranged in the second fluid path (), said non-return valve () closing the second fluid path () if a flow of the first liquid through the filter element () is interrupted. The invention further relates to a filter system () including such a filter element ().

Filter element and filter system having a filter element

A sealing device () of a filter system () for filtering fluids, in particular of a motor vehicle, with a sealing ring () is described. The sealing ring () serves to seal a pipe (), in particular a central pipe of a filter housing (), that penetrates through a flange-sided opening () of an end plate (), in particular of an end element of a filter element (). The sealing ring () features a central section () that connects it with the end plate (). The sealing ring () features in its axial direction on both sides of the central section () elastic sealing sections () which cause each a reduction of the inner diameter of the sealing ring () compared with the central section (). The elastic sealing sections () extend freely flexibly and can be bent away from the central section () such that they can be pressed&#x2014;when the pipe () is mounted&#x2014;by means of prevailing fluid pressures&#x2014;when the filter system () is operated&#x2014;in radial direction against the exterior wall of the pipe ().

Sealing device of a filter system for filtering fluids

A filter device has, in a housing, a filter element and, downstream of the filter element, an outflow opening for discharging the cleaned medium. Between the filter element and the outflow opening there is arranged a diverting part, wherein on the diverting part there is formed an overflow region for the flow of the medium from the filter element to the outflow opening, and the outflow opening is situated at the same level as or below the overflow region.

Fuel supply system of an internal combustion engine and method for separating water from fuel

A valve for controlling volume flows of fuel supply systems of internal combustion engines has a conduit having an inlet and an outlet defining a flow direction. A bypass opening is provided in the conduit. A sleeve is slidably arranged in the conduit and covers in one position the bypass opening completely. The sleeve has an axial through bore that connects the inlet and the outlet. An elastic element that is arranged in the conduit and exerts onto the sleeve a force that is directed toward the inlet. A counterforce is generated by the flow resistance of the sleeve that counteracts the force of the elastic element.
