Compact module for wet spinning of chemical fibres of the type comprising a spinning head (F) of 2-8 tows (S), each one consisting of a plurality of continuous filaments, relative supply pumps (P) of the spinning solution, a coagulation tank (V) containing a coagulation solution, and a plurality of drive rollers () and respective idle diverter rollers () which determine a zigzag path of the tows (S) downstream of the spinning area, in the rectilinear lengths of which liquid-based treatments are carried out on said tows (S). The rectilinear lengths of said zigzag path are horizontal and said liquid-based treatments on the tows (S) are carried out in horizontal treatment trays () of the spillway type.

Compact module for the wet spinning of chemical fibres

A method for spreading a tow of textile non-braided filaments, preferably chemical or inorganic fibres comprises providing a tow of textile non-braided filaments extending along its own main direction and having a section transverse to the main direction with a predetermined thickness and a predetermined width, feeding the tow along a travel path and spreading the tow in order to increase its width and reduce its thickness, defining a spread tow. The step of spreading the tow includes immersing the tow in a bath and generating in the bath a sequence of transverse waves crossing the tow transversely to the main direction in order to separate and place the individual filaments side by side, thereby spreading the tow, wherein the tow entering the bath and/or the spread tow extracted from the bath is/are unsized.

Method for spreading a tow of textile non-braided filaments, preferably chemical or inorganic filaments

An innovative plant () for the production with the 'spun bonding' technology or similar of a web (V) of non-woven fabric, comprising: a melting station () suitable for receiving and melting a polymeric base material (MR), an extrusion bar or head () with a plurality of extrusion or drawing nozzles () adapted to receive from the melting station () the polymeric material (MR) in the molten state to produce a plurality or bundle of continuous filaments (FF); a conveyor belt () adapted to advance along a direction of advancement (A) and to receive from the above the continuous filaments (F), produced by the extrusion nozzles (), so as to form a web (V) of non-woven fabric; and consolidation means () designed to consolidate the non-woven web (V) formed on the conveyor belt (); wherein the plant () is characterized by a special structure () comprising a base platform (), rotatable (f, f', f&#x2033;) around a respective vertical rotation axis (X), and wherein the melting station (), suitable for receiving and melting the base polymeric material (MR), and the extrusion bar (), suitable for receiving from the melting station () the polymeric material (MR) in the molten state, are totally built and solidly supported by this rotatable base platform () (f, f, f), so as to be rigidly connected to each other without the interposition of any rotating joint. Advantageously, the plant () allows to vary, without interrupting its operation, the width (L, L&#x2032;, L&#x2033;) of the non-woven web (V) produced by the same plant, by rotating (f, f&#x2032;, f&#x2033;) and adjusting the base platform () around the respective vertical rotation axis (X), so as to vary the inclination (a) of the extrusion bar () with respect to the direction of advancement (A) the conveyor belt ().

High productivity and flexibility plant of the spun bonding type for the production of a non-woven web

A stretching apparatus of fibre tows in a pressurized steam environment comprises a plurality of stretching chests () and associated supporting structures () arranged side by side, at the same level, on a holding frame. The stretching chests () are each formed by two opposed metallic half-chests (), delimiting a stretching chamber (). The stretching chamber () has a generally rectangular section of a low height and opens outwards in correspondence of the two transversal edges of the stretching chest () through tow entry and exit openings. Inside the stretching chambers () the tows are treated with saturated or overheated steam at high temperature and pressure and simultaneously undergo a mechanical stretching operation.

A support element for a feed roller for a fibre material, preferably a precursor fibre, to be used in an oxidation or carbonization line for producing carbon fibres, including a base provided with means for attachment to a structure or frame of the oven, a support ring coupled with the base and having at least one passing-through opening for receiving one end of the feed roller, and adjustment means operatively interposed between the base and the ring, and configured to move the position of the ring with respect to the base along at least one adjustment direction, transverse to a central axis of the opening, in order to adjust the position of the ring as a function of the deformations of the roller.

A stretching apparatus of fibre tows in a pressurized steam environment includes an elongated stretching chamber having a generally rectangular section of a low height, within which the tows are treated with saturated or overheated steam at high temperature and pressure and simultaneously undergo a mechanical stretching operation. The stretching chamber has a width sufficient to house multiple tows mutually flanked in a running plane and is formed within a stretching chest made of aluminum. The stretching chest is housed in a supporting structure, having a higher structural rigidity than the stretching chest, which includes a plurality of contact elements apt to determine a predefined position of the stretching chest with respect to a direction perpendicular to the tow running plane and to allow a limited mobility of the stretching chest in the other two mutually perpendicular directions which lie in the plane, length and width respectively.

Apparatus for stretching acrylic fibers in a pressurized steam environment and automatic fiber drawing-in device for said apparatus

Process for manufacturing carbon fibers, includes a first spinning step of a fiber of PAN precursor and a second oxidation/carbonization step of the fiber and the plant thereof. The spinning and oxidation/carbonization steps are performed directly in line and continuously, and hence without any stocking buffer area of a PAN precursor between the two steps. The spinning step is performed at low speed, so that the output speed from the spinning step, downstream of the stretching operations, is a speed falling within the range of the suitable processing speeds in the subsequent oxidation/carbonization step. Moreover, the spinning step is performed in a modular way on a plurality of spinning modules aligned in one or more rows, each spinning module having a productivity not above 10% of the overall productivity of the spinning step. In any individual spinning module, the fibers downstream of the spinning area follow zig-zag, rectilinear paths.

Process for manufacturing carbon fibers

Crimping machine for chemical-fiber filaments with crimping chamber having an oscillating upper plate loaded with a closure force for imparting a pressure on the tow which passes through the crimping chamber, wherein the plates of the crimping chamber are mounted on respective supports through two or more linear guides provided with a roller or ball recirculation system. The longitudinal operating position is determined by two pairs of hydraulic cylinders, having an axis parallel to the linear guides, which maintain the plates, or a portion thereof, pushed against respective fixed abutments without the use of further mechanical or oleodynamic blocking elements. Load cells are arranged between the abutments and the plates, for detecting the variations of the tightening force during machine operation, the variations, representative of the variable longitudinal force imparted by the filaments of the tow being processed on the plates, are used for monitoring the quality of the crimp obtained.

Apparatus for crimping chemical-fibre filaments and control methods thereof

In a crimping process in a crimping machine therefor, a compression force on an extended length of a transiting fiber bundle is exerted by and between means for maintaining a continuous and forced contact. The means for maintaining a continuous and forced contact comprise two closed belts, each of which runs around two motorized rollers travelling at a same velocity as the fiber bundle. Pressurized air or steam is injected into the crimping machine in a same direction as an advancement direction of the fiber bundles, but in an opposite sense thereto.
