The invention relates to a laser beam horizontal trueness testing device for a laser beam projection device for construction and/or interior design work. The laser beam projection device is equipped with a beam self-leveling functionality. The laser beam horizontal trueness testing device has a telescope with an attenuating filter, a magnifying objective, and a flat image sensor for capturing an image of a laser beam incident on the objective. Components of the laser beam horizontal trueness testing device further include a natural inclination compensator and an analyzing unit which is designed to automatically ascertain an image position of the laser beam captured in the image by processing the image. According to the invention, the flat image sensor is arranged on an image plane of the objective, and the analyzing unit is additionally designed to quantify the laser beam horizontal trueness.

Laser beam horizontal trueness testing device and corresponding method

A geodetic apparatus, in particular tacheometer or theodolite, comprises an optical device for sighting objects, a first support on which the optical device is supported such that the optical device may turn around a first axis, and a first gear unit for transmitting a drive torque on the optical device so as to turn the optical device around the first axis. In thegeodetic apparatus, the first gear unit comprises a worm and a worm gear meshing with each other, wherein the worm has a plate-like body and a spirally extending worm thread is formed on a first side face of the body, and the worm gear has a plurality of teeth evenly distributed along a circle.

A target object () used for retroflexion of optical radiation comprises at least six triple prisms (p, p), combined to give a 360 degree reflector which can be arranged on a geodetic measuring pole (). The triple prisms (p, p) forming the 360 degree reflector are arranged in such a manner as to leave a clearance in the center of the 360 degree reflector for accommodating a section () of the measuring pole (). The prisms are also arranged in such a manner that the virtual images of the triple prism tips lie substantially in one plane perpendicular to a reference axis () that runs through the center of the 360 degree reflector and in parallel to the longitudinal direction of the measuring pole ().
