A hollow waveguide group antenna comprises a hollow waveguide extending in a direction in space and a plurality of chambers, each of which has a sending/receiving slit and is coupled to the hollow waveguide by a coupling slit. The sending/receiving slits are distributed at a fixed distance from each other, and the distribution of the coupling slits in the direction in space at the transversal hollow waveguide is selected differently from the distribution of the sending/receiving slits such that a wave propagating at the working frequency excites the sending/receiving slits with amplitudes and phases suitable for realizing a sector direction characteristic. The fixed distance is approximately 0.5&#x3bb;for 90&#xb0; sector direction characteristic and approximately 0.64 &#x3bb;for a 45&#xb0; sector direction characteristic.

Hollow waveguide sector antenna

A multilayered slot-coupled antenna device employs a push-pull arrangement of at least two slot-feedline pairs, whereby the feed lines are driven from a common signal source and configured such that changes in antenna center-frequency and input impedance due to layer offsets are largely compensated.

Multilayered slot-coupled antenna device

A waveguide coupling device comprises a waveguide section in which a guided wave may be propagated in at least one waveguide mode and which has two slits in one of its walls. The waveguide mode has a field component parallel to the slotted wall with a nodal plane oriented in the longitudinal direction of the waveguide section, and/or it induces in the walls of the waveguide section a wall current distribution with just such a nodal plane. The slits lie on opposing sides of the nodal plane. One or two antenna sections bridge the first slit or both slits.
