A container tracking system comprising a mobile unit configured to be coupled to a container to be tracked and to communicate with a remote control unit through of a communication system. The mobile unit comprising a positioning module, an alarm module adapted to detect alarm conditions related to said container, and a communication module generating a tracking signal containing positioning data of the mobile unit and/or alarm information associated with one or more alarm conditions related to the container. Furthermore, the mobile unit is configured to evolve to a temporary deactivation state whenever a communication unavailability condition of the tracking signal through the communication system occurs.

There is described a method of diagnosing a motor vehicle battery, wherein, at each start-up of the vehicle engine, a number of parameters, related to the pattern of an electric quantity supplied by the battery during a transient start-up state of the engine, are recorded; and the recorded parameters are then memorized to create a database which is used to determine the charge status of the battery.

A method of controlling injection of an engine having an oxygen concentration sensor generating a composition signal correlated to the composition of the exhaust gases, and a number of injectors for injecting fuel for an operating injection time in each operating state of the engine, and each of which is assigned, in each operating state of the engine, a respective calibration injection time determined at an initial engine calibration stage using a reference fuel. In a given operating state of the engine, the control method including the steps of: determining a number of operating values of a control parameter as a function of the composition signal and of a proportional-integral control function; determining an intermediate value of the control parameter as a function of the aforementioned operating values of the control parameter; determining a current correction injection time as a function of the intermediate value of the control parameter, and of a reference value of the control parameter determined at the initial engine calibration stage using the reference fuel and relative to the operating state of the engine; and determining an operating injection time as a function of a calibration injection time relative to the operating state of the engine, of a closed-loop injection time depending on the control parameter, and of the current correction injection time.

Method of controlling injection of an internal combustion engine as a function of fuel quality

An internal combustion engine is provided with a methane feed system including a plurality of methane injection devices respectively associated with the various cylinders of the engine. The methane injection devices are mounted within respective seats communicating with a distributing conduit or rail for feeding methane. The seats for the injection devices in the rail are formed in an auxiliary body separate from the intake manifold and the head of the engine. An electronic control unit provides for the control of the injection devices on the basis of signals indicative of the parameters of operation of the engine so as to carry out the methane injection at each cylinder when the rotational speed of the engine is lower than a predetermined threshold when the intake valve of the cylinder is open.
