A bone plate includes a pair of lobed portions and a central linking portion extending between the pair of lobed portions. The pair of lobed portions each include a through-hole extending from an upper surface to a lower surface and configured to receive a fastener. Each of the lobed portions has a cross-sectional thickness, in a plane extending along a longitudinal length of the bone plate and between the upper and lower surfaces, that continuously decreases in a direction extending away from the central linking portion to a respective end of each lobed portion. The bone plate has a maximum thickness where each lobed portion joins the central linking portion, the maximum thickness being approximately 1.5-2.3mm. A minimum thickness of the central linking portion is approximately 1.3-1.7mm.

Bone plate

The present invention relates to an internal fixator device () of the bone plate type to be used as synthesis means in anatomical regions or epiphyses/metaphyses with poor coating of soft tissue, of the type comprising a two-lobe or eight-shaped bone plate () comprising a pair of lobed portions () which are linked by a central linking portion () and in each of which at least one through-hole () is formed to receive a corresponding bone fixation screw (). Advantageously, each of the pair of lobed portions () of the bone plate () has an upper surface () inclined relative to a reference plane (X) coinciding with a second upper surface of the linking central portion () of the bone plate (), and a lower surface () configured for contact with the bone and inclined relative to the same reference plane (X) with a smaller inclination.

The present invention relates to a bone plate () for epiphysiodesis, which has been advantageously improved to allow better articulation of the fixing screws engaged with the bone plate (), comprising: a first portion () and a second portion () joined by a connecting portion (), intersected by a first () and a second opening (), respectively, structured to receive the same number of fixing screws; the bone plate having a bilobal figure, such as an eight shape; at least one of said first () and second () openings comprising: a cup-shaped seat () for housing a fixing screw head in a tillable manner, and at least one recess (&#x2033;) which merges into the cup-shaped seat () expanding an exit section () away from the connecting portion ().

Bone plate for epiphysiodesis

The invention concerns an inner plate fixator device () for the correction of severe bone malformations, of the type comprising an elongated plate (') in which through holes () for receiving bone screws are provided. The use of this fixator device allows the pediatric correction of severe bone malformations, in particular malformations of the proximal portion of the femur.

The present invention relates to an internal bone plate fixation device () for use as a means of synthesis in anatomical regions or epiphysis/metaphysis with poor coating of soft tissues, of the type comprising a bone plate () that is bilobate or having eight-like shape, comprising a pair of portions () adapted to be respectively associated to the epiphysis and to the metaphysis of a bone and joined by a central portion () and in each of which is formed at least one through hole () to receive a corresponding screw () for fixing to the bone. Advantageously, the bone plate () is flat with almost constant thickness and is delimited by opposite surfaces () parallel with a single recess () or notch that is transversal to the longitudinal axis of bone plate () formed on only one () of said surfaces (), with the thickness (s) of the plate being less than a ninth of its maximum longitudinal extension (L).

The invention relates to an improved-structure instrument () for allowing the alignment of fixing screws () to be inserted in transverse holes () of nails () for long bones, in particular medullary nails, of the type comprising an arched arm () having a free distal end () connectable to a proximal end () of a head () of the nail () in which the transverse holes () are formed, and a proximal handle portion (), as well as a connection portion () between the distal end () and the proximal handle portion (). The invention concerns an inner fixation device for the correction of axial deformities of a limb, for example a long limb, of the type comprising at least one plate (') for epiphysiodesis with at least a pair of lobes () each provided with a through hole () to be laterally fixed to a bone portion or to a long bone head. Advantageously, the device () comprises one second plate (&#x2032;) placed on the opposite side of the bone portion with respect to said at least one plate (&#x2032;) and connected to that by at least one rod () passing through the bone portion. The rod () is extended through the bone in parallel to an epiphyseal plate and it has opposite extremities () connected to the plates (&#x2032;) to keep them close to the bone and to stop the bone growth in one central portion of the bone.
