A hybrid module has a bridge section with a first transverse end and a second transverse end. Each end module has a body with an inner end and an outer end. The inner ends of each module are configured to be attached to a corresponding end of the bridge section. The inner ends may be removably attached to the corresponding ends of the bridge section using a coupler on the inner end and, in some cases, a mating coupler on the corresponding end of the bridge section.

Hybrid modular belt

A cleaning-in-place system for use with an easily cleanable flexible belt. A sprocket is provided with a body having a first opening formed between adjacent pairs of teeth. The opening extends toward the center of the sprocket to provide access to the underside of the belt, when the belt engages with the sprocket, for application of cleaning medium.

Cleaning-in-place system for flat belts

The present disclosure provides belts (chains or brick-laid) having rod retains provided by way of an end module and a link cap for easier disassembly. The outer link end of the end module is altered to be narrower and furnished with a connecting structure. A separate link cap piece is produced, providing a corresponding connecting structure suitable to connect to the outer link end of the end module such that the width of the outer combined pieces is substantially the same as the other link ends of the belt. The link cap may be furnished with an opening allowing for assembly with a pivot rod.

Rod retention system and method

A drive sprocket for driving a modular belt having a plurality of belt modules with intercalated link ends connected by transverse pivot members to form hinges. The belt modules may have transverse ribs. The drive sprocket is driven by a shaft. The drive sprocket has a central opening for receiving the shaft. The body has a plurality of teeth disposed in pairs along a periphery of the body. The body has a first opening formed between adjacent pairs of teeth and extending toward the center of the sprocket to provide access to the hinge area, when the belt engages with the sprocket, for application of cleaning fluid.

Sprocket for easy cleaning

A sprocket is provided, the sprocket having a body with a central opening for engaging a shaft and rotating about an axis. The sprocket has a plurality of teeth disposed around the periphery of the body. The teeth are angularly spaced about the axis such that each tooth is spaced from the adjacent teeth by a first opening. Each tooth has a belt-contacting surface which is convex in shape such that the outer-most periphery of the sprocket is generally circular. The belt-contacting surfaces of the teeth guide the belt around the periphery of the sprocket in order to minimize the ability of the belt to buckle.

Modular belt sprocket for easy cleaning

A cleaning-in-place system for use with an easily cleanable modular belt. The belt has modules with a body having a first opening formed between adjacent pairs of teeth. The opening extends toward the center of the sprocket to provide access to the hinge area, when the belt engages with the sprocket, for application of cleaning fluid.

Cleaning-in-place system

A modular conveying system with sprockets engaging the modules such that they do not cover any link gaps but are positioned between the link gaps. The module is characterized by link structures having link pairs that are spaced apart sufficiently at a distance to allow the sprockets to be located between the link pairs. Positioning the sprockets between the link pairs leaves the hinge gaps uncovered and thus allows free access to the hinge gap for cleaning.

A belt designed for improved cleanability achieved by large link distances thus reducing the number of gaps. The module design reduces the undesirable elasticity of the belt under load by having link pairs, formed by links on adjacent modules, that are moved as close together as possible leaving large open spaces between the link pairs.

A rodless system for a modular conveying belt where the studs are inserted into the pivot opening by transversally shifting the module with the studs in relation to the module with the pivot opening.

Modular belt with rodless hinge

A low back pressure belt module for forming an endless belt for use with a conveyor. The modular conveyor belt is formed of rows of belt modules pivotally interlinked by transverse pivot rods. The belt modules have a plurality of first link ends disposed in the direction of belt travel and a plurality of second link ends disposed in the opposite direction. Transverse holes in the link ends are aligned to accommodate a pivot rod. When the link ends of the consecutive rows of side-by-side modules are intercalated, the pivot rod serves as a hinge pin in a hinged joint between consecutive interlinked rows. The low back pressure belt modules include shafts supported above the top surface of the module. The shafts carry a plurality of rollers to form a low back pressure conveying surface. A pair of intermediate supports may be provided for each shaft. The intermediate supports are L-shaped and disposed in mirror relation such that one support engages one side of the shaft and the other support engages the other side of the shaft in complementary fashion. The intermediate supports are offset in the transverse direction such that the shaft is disposed in an open configuration with access to the shaft for cleaning and without a narrow slot for debris to accumulate.
