A cooking appliance includes a cabinet that defines a cooking cavity that has a first sidewall. A ladder rack assembly includes a horizontal rack and a vertical rail that are coupled to the first sidewall. The vertical rail is at least partially disposed within a recess of the first sidewall of the cooking cavity.

A method for calculating the humidity level in a cooking apparatus is disclosed. The method includes heating a food load in a cooking cavity of the cooking apparatus and selectively activating a convection fan in the cooking cavity. The method further includes monitoring a humidity signal detected by a humidity sensing apparatus in response to the activation of the convection fan. As a result of the activation of the convection fan, the method may determine an actual humidity level from a plurality of humidity levels based on a change in the humidity signal.

A temperature probe is configured to be used in a domestic oven and comprises a sensing portion for inserting into food during cooking and a cable for coupling the sensing portion to a control unit of the oven. The cable is semi-rigid so that it is configured for self-supporting the sensing portion of the probe.

In at least another aspect, a method for calculating a humidity level in a cooking apparatus is disclosed. The method comprises heating a food load in a cooking cavity of the cooking apparatus and selectively activating a convection fan in the cooking cavity. The method further comprises monitoring a humidity signal detected by a humidity sensing apparatus in response to the activation of the convection fan. As a result of the activation of the convection fan, the method may determine an actual humidity level from a plurality of humidity levels based on a change in the humidity signal.

The hinged door includes at least one external glass panel coupled to one or more vertical bars defining a structure of the hinged door and an elongated element is coupled to an upper edge of the at least one external glass panel. The door further comprises a housing of polymeric material for electrical and/or electronic components of an user interface integral with the door, the housing being shell-shaped and being mounted on an internal face of the external glass plate, above the internal glass plates.

A retractable control device for a household electrical appliance includes a knob movable against an elastic member within an aperture or seat of a control interface of the appliance. The knob is configured to assume two working positions including a first position in which the knob is seated in the aperture and a second position in which the knob extends outwardly therefrom. The knob cooperates with a control member for a functional element of the appliance, such as an electrical resistance heater or microwave generator of an oven, or a gas burner of a cooking hob. The device also includes a cylindrical element disposed and fixed in the aperture of the control interface about the knob. The cylindrical element contains the knob when the knob is in its first position and guides its movement within the aperture along a central longitudinal axis thereof.

A built-in oven comprises a door and a ventilation system. The door structure comprises two vertical frame elements and an upper hollow frame element mounted on the vertical elements and on upper edges of two or more glass plates and having a front aperture adapted to be used as an handle of the door flush with the front surface thereof, the upper hollow frame element being used as part of the ventilation system of the oven.

A built-in oven has a door, a control panel positioned above the door and a cooling system including a fan-motor assembly for drawing cooling air around the outside surface of the oven and an exhaust duct for discharging air to the ambient. The cooling system comprises a cooling air supply duct above the top side of the oven and with an intake opening below the control panel, and an exhaust duct positioned above the supply duct so that its exhaust opening is placed above the control panel, the fan-motor assembly being mounted between the supply duct and the exhaust duct.
