A method for making a wind turbine member wherein a plurality Of components are arranged in a mold. The inner side of the mold determines a surface of the wind turbine member. The components are connected to one another. At least one of the components is a prefabricated structural element which has a fixed geometry with an outer surface. The prefabricated structural element has a positioning projection protruding out of the outer surface and the mold has, on its inner side, a positioning receptacle. The positioning projection is inserted positively into the positioning receptacle to determine the disposition of the prefabricated structural element in the mold.

Method, prefabricated structural element and mold for making a wind turbine member

A method for making a wind turbine rotor blade half shell includes arranging a fibrous material in a mold, which has an inner side predetermining an aerodynamic surface of the half shell and has a pinching edge defining the profile of a trailing edge of the half shell. A liquid plastics material surrounding the fibrous material is cured. An insert is arranged in relation to the mold in a predetermined position, in which a surface of the insert and a bordering portion of the inner side of the mold conjointly define an acute angle tapering toward the pinching edge, so that a thinly tapering trailing edge of the half shell is formed between the surface of the insert and the bordering portion.

Method for making a wind turbine rotor blade half shell or wind turbine rotor blade and production mold therefor

Method for producing a wind turbine rotor blade part with a prefabricated main spar cap, comprising the following steps: providing a mold having a blade-root end and with a blade-tip end, inserting at least one outer root reinforcement layer () made of a fibrous material into the mold, arranging the prefabricated main spar cap on the at least one outer root reinforcement layer, arranging, in the mold, at least one inner root reinforcement layer made of a fibrous material on the main spar cap, closing the mold, extracting the air from the mold through at least one extraction channel arranged at a lateral distance from the main spar cap, feeding a liquid plastics material through a first sprue channel which has a plurality of outlet openings below the main spar cap, feeding a liquid plastics material through a second sprue channel which has a plurality of outlet openings above the main spar cap.
