A transmission assembly for vehicles, including a rolling bearing having a sealing device composed of a first annular screen coupled with a stationary outer ring of the bearing and a second annular screen coupled with a rotating inner ring of the bearing. Radially outer first and second L-shaped portions of the first and second screens project axially from the bearing and towards a constant velocity joint, the first L-shaped portion having a first and a second annular lip which form with the second L-shaped portion a radial sequence of labyrinth seals. A third annular sealing lip may be arranged radially downstream of the sequence of labyrinth seals and cooperates in sliding contact with the second screen. An encoder may be mounted on the second L-shaped portion and may have an annular overhang which forms with the first lip a first labyrinth seal.

Steering suspension module including a shock absorber strut, a suspension upright, an outer ring of a wheel hub unit attached integrally to a front face of the suspension upright, and a ball joint for articulation with a control arm; wherein the suspension strut consists of a cup-shaped body made entirely of continuous, sheared and bent metal sheet, and the outer ring is provided integral in one piece with, and radially cantilevered from, a steering arm extending transversely cantilevered from the cup-shaped body, on the side of the cup-shaped body; the shock absorber strut is constrained within a first seat of the cup-shaped body and the ball joint is made as an independent unit constrained integrally with a second seat of the cup-shaped body in a position facing the first seat, the ball joint projecting inferiorly cantilevered from the cup-shaped body.

Integrated steering suspension module for a vehicle

A clamping system for a hub bearing assembly includes a screw element configured to engage with a threaded section formed on a flanged hub of a bearing unit. The screw element includes a flange-shaped head configured to cooperate with an annular element of the bearing unit and axially constrain the flanged hub and the annular element, an elastic ring, and at least one annular seat for the elastic ring. The at least one annular seat is formed radially on the inside of the annular element or on the outside of the flange-shaped head along a radially outer peripheral edge of the flange-shaped head.

Suspension unit for a vehicle

A steering suspension of a vehicle includes a suspension upright and a mechanical component consisting of a radially outer ring of a wheel hub unit or of a rolling bearing forming part of a wheel hub unit. The outer ring is provided integral in one piece with a flange and a steering arm, extending radially cantilevered from the outer ring and the flange, with which it is also integral in one piece. On the side opposite to the steering arm the flange is integral in one piece with a pair of axially drilled radial lugs, configured to support, in use, a brake caliper.

A wheel hub assembly for motor vehicles, having a rotatable hub, a bearing unit in turn comprising a radially outer ring, a radially inner ring and a plurality of rolling bodies. The axial interface between the wheel hub assembly and a knuckle of a motor vehicle suspension provides at least one piezoelectric spacer configured to detect first mechanical vibrations coming from the components of the wheel hub assembly and to implement corrective action consisting of second mechanical vibrations of almost equal amplitude but with opposite direction and phase, so that the resultant of the first and second mechanical vibrations is close to zero.

A hub bearing module for a lightweight suspension upright or knuckle of a vehicle, the hub bearing module including a wheel bearing and a bearing connection interface to the suspension upright or knuckle, the bearing connection interface being arranged coaxial with the rolling bearing and including a first sleeve element and a second sleeve element arranged radially outside the first sleeve element and including a composite, preferably BMC (Bulk Molding Compound) annular body having a radially inner lateral surface mechanically coupled to the first sleeve element and a radially outer lateral surface configured to mechanically and chemically couple with the suspension upright or knuckle.

A lightweight suspension assembly for a vehicle includes a suspension upright or knuckle provided with a bearing connection interface for receiving at least part of a wheel bearing, and with a first molded portion made of a first polymeric material; the assembly further includes at least one arm having a second molded portion made of a second polymeric material, and at least one joint member coupling the arm to the suspension upright/knuckle in such a manner to allow a relative rotation between the arm and the suspension upright/knuckle about at least one rotation axis (B); the first and second molded portions are arranged onto a first surface and, respectively, a second surface of the joint member, in such a manner that the first and second molded portions are coupled in a non-releasable manner to the joint member.

Lightweight suspension assembly for a vehicle, and manufacturing process thereof

A lightweight suspension upright or knuckle including: a bearing connection interface having a first sleeve element and a second, radially outer, sleeve element and further including a BMC/LFT/DLFT annular body; at least one attachment interface configured to connect the suspension upright or knuckle to a respective control or support element; and a supporting structural body mechanically connecting the bearing connection interface with the at least one attachment interface. The supporting structural body is shaped as a reticular frame including first blade elements chemically and mechanically interconnected to each other and to the outer lateral surface; each blade element consisting in one or more mats or plies of continuous fibers embedded in a polymer matrix, stacked onto one another and that have been compression molded together and with the annular body. Also, a method for obtaining a lightweight suspension upright or knuckle for a vehicle providing a bearing connection interface.

A suspension upright assembly for a vehicle provides a wheel hub bearing and a suspension upright including a fiber-reinforced composite bushing arranged around the wheel hub bearing, attachment members for attaching the suspension upright to a suspension assembly and to a brake caliper of the vehicle, and a fiber-reinforced composite truss-structure that connects at least one of the attachment members to the bushing and/or to a further one of the attachment members.

Lightweight suspension upright assembly for a vehicle

An integrated module for a vehicle suspension includes a bearing outer ring and a suspension upright or knuckle, the outer ring being formed of a first high-strength material, and at least part of the suspension upright or knuckle being made from a second, metallic material, the second material being lighter than the first material. The upright or knuckle is co-moulded radially onto the outside of the bearing and is directly fixed to the bearing ring by means of an interface for form coupling. Opposite axial ends of the bearing outer ring are configured to receive closing and sealing devices for protecting one or more races of the bearing outer ring during co-moulding and for removing heat from the races during co-moulding.

A sealing device for a hub/wheel assembly with a roller bearing, the sealing device comprising a guard, made of plastic, which is coupled to an outer ring of the bearing so as to seal off the bearing, and which has a cylindrical mounting wall having an outer lateral surface coupled to an inner lateral surface of a collar of the outer ring. The sealing device includes a snap-engagement tooth for engaging with the collar made along the outer lateral surface so that the snap-engagement tooth snap-fits in a contoured annular groove made along the collar about the axis and an annular gasket made of thermoplastic elastomer being co-injection-molded inside a gripping seat made in the cylindrical mounting wall on the same side as the snap-engagement tooth, substantially at a corner defined between the cylindrical mounting wall and an annular reading wall transverse to the cylindrical mounting wall.

Sealing device for a hub/wheel assembly and hub/wheel assembly having such a sealing device

A sealing device for a hub/wheel assembly with a roller bearing. The sealing device includes a guard, made of plastic. The guard is coupled to an outer ring of the bearing to seal off the bearing. The guard has a cylindrical mounting wall with an outer lateral surface coupled to an inner lateral surface of a collar of the outer ring, and a snap-engagement step for engaging with the collar made along the outer lateral surface so that it snap-fits in a contoured annular groove made along the collar about the axis. An annular gasket is made of elastomer and co-injection-molded inside an annular groove made in the cylindrical mounting wall on the same side as the snap-engagement step.
