Guide device for rolling long metal products, comprising at least a pair of guide rolls coplanar with each other and rotatable round axes of rotation inclined with respect to a rolling axis, a support body on which the guide rolls are mounted and configured to keep the guide rolls constantly in contact with the long metal products, and a support structure configured to support the support body and to which the latter is attached. At least the support structure is made of one or more non-ferrous metal materials with a specific weight less than half the average weight of steel and with heat conductivity equal to or greater than double the average heat conductivity of steel.

Guide device for rolling long metal products

Rolling mill shear provided with at least one blade having characteristics of toughness and resistance to thermal shock typical of the family of tool steels for hot shearing and at the same time having sufficiently high characteristics of surface hardness and wear resistance, typical of tool steels for cold shearing. This shear is particularly suitable for carrying out, with greater efficiency and for a longer time, relative to the known shears, the shearing of sections or bars at a temperature between 150 and 800&#xb0; C., downstream of the Quenching & Tempering heat treatment thereof.

Shear for shearing products and associated production process

An adjustment device and method to guide a metal product along a determinate nominal rolling axis. The device comprises a central body disposed astride the rolling axis, two guide units mounted movable on the central body, opposite each other with respect to the rolling axis and each provided with at least a guide roller for the metal product, and an adjustment mechanism mounted on the central body and operatively connected to both the guide units, in order to actuate the selective movement thereof with respect to the central body at least in an approach toward the rolling axis. The adjustment mechanism comprises a system of pantograph levers having two levers pivoted to each other and to the central body in correspondence to the rolling axis by means of a pin, and first constraint means disposed on each lever on opposite sides to the pin, so as to connect each lever to both the guide units.

Hydraulic fast locking and loosening device for bearing assemblies of rolling-mill cylinders, and corresponding method of use

A tightening and untightening tool for a roll bearing assembly of a rolling mill has a box-shaped body of toroidal shape with a central hole fitting around the cylindrical end part of a back-up roll. It has drive keys that slide into corresponding drive splines on the outside of the locknut and a torque reaction slot that fits over a reaction plate. The tool is provided with a hydraulic drive motor for tightening with bearing locknut against a thrust bearing.
