A drive chain for stitch formation members of a circular knitting machine includes an element coupled or to be coupled with a stitch formation member, and an oscillating lever connected to said element on a junction area. The oscillating lever is configured for interacting with selecting devices so as to oscillate with respect to said element. The element comprises a first portion carrying a first butt and a second portion configured for slidingly coupling with a bottom of a respective groove. The first portion is elastically coupled with the second portion so as to keep the first butt in an operating position in which the first butt protrudes from the groove and to allow the first butt to get back into the groove in case of interference with one of the first actuating cams.

A support and control device to be mounted in a circular knitting machine provided with a supporting structure, a rotating component-holding unit, and a plurality of stitch formation components, includes a support body provided with a mounting portion having a front side and a rear side. The front side faces the component-holding unit and is provided with at least one cam defining a guiding path which interacts with respective butts of the stitch formation components. The device includes at least one through opening between the front side and the rear side, open on the guiding path, which defines an empty space placing the guiding path of the cam in direct communication with an outside of the device, so that the respective butts of the stitch formation components are facing, and in direct communication with, the empty space.

Support and control device for circular knitting machines

A support and control device, intended to be mounted in a circular knitting machine provided with a supporting structure, a rotating needle-holding unit, and a plurality of stitch formation components, includes a support body provided with a mounting portion, which allows the device to be mounted to the supporting structure, with a front side and a rear side. The front side faces the needle-holding unit and is provided with at least one cam for controlling the plurality of stitch formation components, which defines a guiding path which interacts with respective butts for controlling each of the stitch formation components; the rear side is opposite to the front side and faces the outside of the knitting machine. The front side is without undercuts or holes or hollow surfaces facing said needle-holding unit.

A needle-holding unit for circular knitting machines has a structure shaped as a hollow solid of rotation developing around a central axis is configured for turning around said central axis and for supporting a plurality of needles moving so as to produce a knitted fabric. The needle-holding unit exhibits on an outer side at least one working surface, on which a plurality of needle seats is defined, which are placed beside one another and arranged around the central axis. Each of the needle seats movably houses at least a portion of at least one respective needle which can be actuated with an alternate motion along the respective needle seat with a motion of extraction and a motion of return, in order to produce knitted fabric. Each needle seat has an inclined longitudinal development with respect to the central axis. The working surface has a shape as a surface of rotation obtained through the rotation of the inclined needle seats around the central axis, and in particular the working surface is a non-cylindrical, non-conical three-dimensional surface.

Needle-holding unit for a circular knitting machine

A circular knitting machine for knitted or hosiery items includes a supporting structure; a needle-holding cylinder rotatable around an axis of rotation and supporting a plurality of cylinder needles that are movable for producing a knitted fabric; a dial assembly, arranged above the cylinder and comprising a needle-holding plate rotating around the axis of rotation and supporting a plurality of plate needles that are movable for producing a knitted fabric. The machine includes motion generation elements, in order to rotate the needle-holding cylinder around the axis of rotation, and motion transmission elements configured for forming a motion transmission chain capable of transmitting to the plate, synchronously with respect to the cylinder, the rotation generated by the motion generation elements. The motion transmission elements include a first toothed wheel, receiving the rotary motion of the motion generation elements; a second toothed wheel, mounted coaxially with the needle-holding plate; an offset device, located between the first and the second toothed wheel and comprising an inlet gear, engaged with the first toothed wheel, and an outlet gear, engaged with the second toothed wheel. The inlet and outlet gears are mounted coaxially with one another and are translatable by an actuator, so as to change the engagement of the inlet gear with the first toothed wheel and/or the engagement of the outlet gear with the second toothed wheel.

Circular knitting machine with system for offsetting the plate of the needles with respect to the cylinder of the needles

A device (), a sinker arrangement () and a method for loop-forming are described. The device () may include a cylinder () with first grooves () for needles () accommodated in a first groove (), whereby the needles () include a loop forming section, and a sinker ring () with second grooves () for the sinker arrangement (). The sinker arrangement () may include an actuating section () and a loop forming section (). The loop forming section () includes an opening (), and the sinker arrangements () are accommodated in one single second groove (). The opening () may be delimited in the width direction (x) by two side faces () and the loop forming section of the needle () is movably disposed between the two side faces () of the opening ().

Device for loop-forming, sinker means and method for loop forming

A loop-forming process includes moving a plurality of system components () relatively to a needle bed (). The system components () contact threads () for forming loops. At least one spacer () is placed between at least two adjacent system components () of the plurality of system components () and defines the distance () between the two adjacent system components (), the spacer () being in mechanical contact to the two adjacent system components (). The spacer () is placed away from and does not contact threads () and is moved with respect to the needle bed (). The spacer () is also moved with respect to both of the two adjacent system components () at least for a period of time during the loop forming process. An equivalent device is also disclosed and claimed.
