The fuel injection valve has a hydraulic control device for controlling the axial movement of the injection valve member. The stem of the intermediate valve member of mushroom-shaped configuration of the intermediate valve is guided in the guide recess of the intermediate part. In the open position, the intermediate valve member opens up a second connection between a high-pressure fuel inlet and a valve chamber and, in the closed position, the intermediate valve member shuts off the second connection between the high-pressure fuel inlet and the valve chamber. In the closed position of the intermediate valve member, the head of the intermediate valve member lies with a side facing toward the intermediate part against the intermediate valve seat via a first sealing surface, which runs around the stem or the guide recess at a first radial spacing so as to form a first annular sealing surface which is continuous in the circumferential direction.

Fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines

A fuel injection valve () comprises an intermediate valve with a mushroom-shaped intermediate valve member (). The shaft () of the intermediate valve member () is guided with a sliding fit in the guiding passage () of an intermediate component (). An annular space () is defined between the shaft () and the head () of the intermediate valve member () and the intermediate component (), and a high-pressure inlet () opens into the annular space, which is formed by an inner annular space () and by a split ring space (). The split ring space () is defined between the head () and the intermediate component (), and is also radially outwardly defined by a sealing bead (). The adhesion force between the intermediate valve member () and the intermediate component (), which acts against the opening motion of the injection valve member (), is minimized.

Fuel injection valve for combustion engines

The housing () of the fuel injection valve () of the device for intermittently injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine comprises a high-pressure inlet () with a conical sealing face (). The high-pressure chamber () is disposed in the housing () from the high-pressure inlet (). A cartridge-like, independent component () is inserted into the high-pressure chamber (). Said component comprises the valve carrier (), the non-return valve (), the holding element (), and preferably the filter body ('). The valve carrier () is provided with a conical outer sealing face (), by which the valve carrier rests against the conical sealing face (). A fixing element () presses the supply line () against the valve carrier ().

Device for injecting fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine

The fuel injection valve () for the intermittent injection of fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine has a valve housing () that defines a longitudinal axis () and is provided with a high-pressure chamber (). The connecting part () of the valve housing () has two identically formed high-pressure connections () for high-pressure fuel lines. The two identically formed high-pressure connections () are arranged in a common connecting face (') in such a way that said high-pressure connections are oriented in the same direction and the connection axes (&#x2032;) thereof run parallel to each other. In the interior of the valve housing (), the high-pressure connections () are connected to each other and to the high-pressure chamber ().

Fuel injection valve and device for injecting fuel

A control device () of a fuel injection valve has a mushroom-shaped intermediate valve member () which is guided with a sliding fit (') in a first intermediate plate (). An injection valve member (), which has a control piston (&#x2032;), for opening and closing injection openings in order to realize intermittent injection processes defines a control space () together with a guide sleeve () and the lower face () of the first intermediate plate (). A second intermediate plate () is situated between the first intermediate plate () and a housing body (), and has a valve space () which is hydraulically connected to the end side of a shank () of the mushroom-shaped intermediate valve member ().

The invention relates to an injection device for injecting high-pressure fuel into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, the device comprising an injection valve assigned to a discrete reservoir chamber. A non-return valve operates between the chamber and the high-pressure supply line and the filter, which is preferably designed as an edge filter, forms a stop for limiting the opening motion of the valve member that is preferably designed as a valve member plate.

Fuel injection device

The housing body () of the fuel injection valve comprises a recess (), the end region of said recess having a conical tapering () on the bottom side thereof. The supporting body () engages in said conical tapering () with a projection () also comprising a conical end region (). The closing spring () is supported on the needle-shaped injection valve member () on one side, and on the guiding sleeve () on the other side. The guiding sleeve () is supported on the supporting body () with the front side () thereof, whereby the supporting body is held against the tapering () in a sealing manner, under the force exerted by the closing spring ().

Fuel injection valve

Disclosed is a fuel injection valve () comprising a control member () that is provided with a control passageway () which is arranged eccentrically relative to the housing axis () and can be opened and closed by a closure piece () with the aid of an actuator assembly () in order to obtain intermittent injections. The control member () is positioned by means of a centering pin () in order to define the circumferential position of the eccentric control passageway (). The centering pin () is guided within a pocket bore of the control member () as well as within a bore of an intermediate plate (), a cylindrical element (), or a spacing sleeve (). The actuator assembly () is designed as an electromagnetic actuator () in which the stop () for limiting the lift of the pilot valve member is designed as a monolithic component of the intermediate plate () or as a flat stop disk () in a separate workpiece. The eccentric position of the actuator assembly () and the design of the stop () allow for a very compact design of the fuel injection valve. The compact design makes it possible to mount a suitable storage chamber in the monolithic housing body () of the fuel injection valve, above the high-pressure inlet bore ().

Disclosed is a high-pressure accumulator injection system () for an internal combustion engine, preferably a diesel engine. Said injection system () comprises a number of injection valves () which are connected to a high-pressure conveying device () via fuel pipes (). A reservoir () and a check valve encompassing a bypass throttle () that is connected in parallel are assigned to each injection valve (). Said check valve which is assigned to each injection valve () and encompasses a bypass throttle () that is connected in parallel allows the accumulator injection system () to perform stable and reproducible injection processes with a favorable pressure curve during each injection process even when the discrete reservoirs () are provided with an unusually low volume. The reservoirs () can be integrated in the housing of the injection valves (). The inventive injection system dispenses with the need for a complex common rail.

Accumulator injection system for an internal combustion engine

The movement of an injection valve member, which can be longitudinally displaced and guided in a housing and which is used to close and release injection openings, is controlled of a hydraulic control device which comprises a control body which is maintained in a central bore on the periphery thereof and which is provided with a control duct which is connected to a control area on a lower front-surface side of the control body and which is sealed on another upper front-surface side of the control body and which can be connected to a low pressure area by a pilot valve.

The invention relates to a fuel injection valve for intermittent fuel injection into the combustion chamber of internal combustion engines. A needle-shaped injection valve member () is arranged in the high-pressure fuel chamber () adjacent to the injection valve seat (), said injection valve member co-operating with the injection valve seat () and defining, in a piston-type manner, the cylinder chamber () which is connected to the high-pressure inlet (). The booster piston () is controlled by means of the control valve () embodied as a flat seat valve, increasing the pressure of the fuel in the high-pressure fuel chamber () for an injection, and thus lifting the injection valve member from the injection valve seat. In this way, the injection is carried out with increased pressure.

Fuel injection valve with pressure gain

A piston () of a piston pump unit (), which can be displaced in a translatory manner, is guided in a cylinder bore (). The piston () is driven by a crank drive () comprising an eccentric element () which is arranged on a drive shaft (). A stroke ring () is rotationally mounted on the eccentric element () but does not rotate therewith. A sliding surface () of the piston () is arranged on a sliding bearing surface () on the stroke ring (). A discharge chamber () is embodied inside the piston () on an end opposite the stroke ring (). Said discharge chamber is open towards the sliding bearing surface (). The discharge chamber () is connected in a pressure-wise manner to a working chamber () by means of a passage () in the piston (). A displaceable control piston () is guided in a longitudinal bore () pertaining to said passage (). Said control piston () is impinged upon on one side by a medium in the working chamber () and on the other front side by a pressure medium in the discharge chamber (). The control piston () separates the medium which is to be transported from the pressure medium in the discharge chamber () and ensures that the pressure in the discharge chamber () increases if the pressure increases in the working chamber (). This results in decompression of the sliding bearing between the piston () and the stroke ring ().

High pressure pump

A fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine which includes an axially moveable needle-like injection valve membermounted in a tubular housing. A control elementwith a control passageis mounted in the upper end portion of the housing, and a valve elementis mounted for movement below the control element. A control chamberis formed below the valve element, and a control pistonwhich is formed at the upper end of the valve memberbounds the lower side of the control chamber. A throttle passagein the valve element is connected via a throttle constriction between the control passagein the control elementand the control chamber. A throttle inlet, which is formed in the valve elementor in a sleevewhich laterally bounds the control chamber, is connected between a high pressure chamberin the housing and the control chamberwithout passage through an intermediate throttle point. The pressure in the control chamberis thus always higher than the pressure in the control passage

The control space of the fuel injection valve is delimited, on the one hand, by the piston of the injection-valve member, on the other hand by the slide-valve body and circumferentially by the sleeve. Both the double-acting piston and the slide-valve body are guided in a narrow sliding fit on the sleeve. The throttle passage runs through the slide-valve body and is flow-connected permanently to the control passage in the control body. The throttle inlet leads from the high-pressure space into the control passage. The latter, on the side facing away from the slide-valve body, can, via a pilot valve, be connected to a low-pressure space and be separated again from the latter. The connection of the control passage to the low-pressure space leads to a pressure drop in the control space, with the result being that the injection-valve member moves in the direction of the slide-valve body and releases the injection nozzles. After the control passage has been separated from the low-pressure space, as a result of the pressure difference in the control space and on that side of the slide-valve body which faces away from the latter, the slide-valve body, together with the injection valve, is moved in a direction away from the control body, thus leading to a rapid closing of the injection nozzles. Under the force of the spring element, the slide valve body then again sealingly engages the control body.

Fuel-injection valve for internal combustion engine

An injection valve member for the closing and opening of injection orifices of a valve seat element is installed longitudinally adjustably in a central housing bore of a fuel injection valve. The opening and closing movement sequence of the injection valve member is controlled by a control device. A control piston operatively connected to the injection valve member is loaded, on the one hand, by the fuel system pressure prevailing in a high-pressure zone and, on the other hand, by the fuel control pressure in a control space. The high-pressure zone includes the central housing bore which is closed off sealingly by a control body fixed to the housing. The control space is arranged between the control body and a piston end face and is at least temporarily delimited radially by a control sleeve which is moveable transversely to the longitudinal axis of the housing. A narrow sliding guide between a control piston part and the control sleeve, said sliding guide separating the control space from the high-pressure zone, forms an accurate longitudinal guide for the control sleeve. The fuel injection valve is simple in terms of manufacture and assembly.
