A receiver of analogue video signal having means for analogue video signal conversion has a receiving block () for receiving a first analogue video signal, a conversion block () for conversion of the first analogue signal into a digital signal, a buffer controller () of frame buffers, a video coder () for transforming the digital signal into an analogue signal of a second format, a receiver () for displaying the analogue signal of a second format and a processor () for data processing and controlling the receiving block, the conversion block, the buffer controller, the video coder and the receiver. The buffers controller () has three modules, namely, buffers () linked together, a decoding frame controller () and a displaying frame controller (). Certain frames in this device will be omitted when the output frames frequency is lower than the input frequency and displayed more than once when the output frames frequency is higher than the input frequency.

Receiver of analogue video signal having means for analogue video signal conversion and method for control of display of video frames

A method for scrolling MPEG-compressed pictures consists in decoding a sequence of pictures () or any two pictures to be viewed by a MPEG decoder () and storing the sequence of pictures () or any two pictures in MPEG decoder memory. Then the sequence of pictures () or any two pictures is formed as a group of pictures (), which is transferred to the first screen buffer () which is active. In the following step, any another compressed picture, after decoding in the MPEG decoder (), is stored in a MPEG decoder memory as a decoder new picture and then is transferred from the MPEG decoder memory to the first screen buffer (), where its edge line perpendicular to the intended scrolling direction is adjoined to the external edge of the group of pictures (). The new picture is placed outside the viewing area and next the entire viewing area is shifted until the marginal picture lying at the opposite side of the group of pictures () in relation to the adjoined new picture is removed from the viewing area (), and the newly decoded picture is placed in this area.
