The processor may be configured to: output, to the display, a view of an airport moving map (AMM); receive aircraft state data and airport surface data; at least based on the current position of the aircraft and at least one factor, obtain commonly used taxi route data from a data structure, the data structure including taxi route data, the taxi route data including information of commonly used taxi routes for the airport, wherein the commonly used taxi route data includes information of a commonly used taxi route for the aircraft on the airport surface; based at least on the commonly used taxi route data, the aircraft state data, and the airport surface data, generate taxi routing guidance content; and output, to the display, the taxi routing guidance content.

A system may include a display and a processor. The processor may be configured to: output a view of an airport moving map (AMM), the AMM depicting a location of an aircraft on an airport surface; receive aircraft state data and airport surface data, wherein the airport surface data includes information of the airport surface, wherein the aircraft state data includes a current position of the aircraft; generate taxi routing guidance content, wherein the taxi route data includes information of a taxi route for the aircraft on the airport surface, wherein the taxi routing guidance content includes graphical and/or audio content to be presented to a flight crew to guide the aircraft along the taxi route, wherein the taxi routing guidance content further includes an approaching runway annunciation, wherein the approaching runway annunciation indicates that the aircraft is approaching a runway; and output the taxi routing guidance content.

A system may include a display and a processor communicatively coupled to the display. The processor may be configured to: generate a synthetic vision system (SVS) taxi mode exocentric view of an aircraft when the aircraft is performing taxi operations and when the aircraft is on ground, wherein the SVS taxi mode exocentric view includes at least one range ring centered around a depiction of the aircraft, each of the at least one range ring providing a visual indication of a given range between the aircraft and a given range ring; and output, to the display, the SVS taxi mode exocentric view. Combined taxi signage may be generated from taxi signage for a first origination node and taxi signage for a second origination node, the first origination node and the second origination node being of a select proximity and orientation relative to an aircraft. The taxi signage for the first origination node may be generated from the first origination node and at least a first termination node stored within an airport surface routing network data, and a first turning angle determined based on a comparison between the first origination node and the at least the first termination node. The taxi signage for the second origination node may be generated from the second origination node and at least a second termination node stored within the airport surface routing network data, and a second turning angle determined based on a comparison between the second origination node and the at least the second termination node. The combined taxi signage may be included in a combined billboard displayed on the display device of the aircraft.

The GPU core may be configured to: execute the texture comparison shader program; compare the data object and the copy of the data object; generate comparison results; and output the comparison results as pixels to an off-screen area of a framebuffer. The processor may further be configured to: obtain (a) a hash value of the off-screen area, or (b) the off-screen area; and determine whether the comparison results are at least one expected value.

A system may include a display and a processor communicatively coupled to the display. The processor may be configured to: output, to the display, a synthetic vision system (SVS) taxi mode exocentric view of an aircraft while the aircraft is performing taxi operations, while the aircraft is on ground, and when the aircraft is not in a predetermined exclusion zone, the predetermined exclusion zone including portions of a runway where the aircraft is able to begin taking off; and output, to the at least one display, an SVS flight mode egocentric view from the aircraft when the aircraft is in the predetermined exclusion zone. The display may be configured to display the SVS taxi mode exocentric view until the aircraft is in the predetermined exclusion zone and display the SVS flight mode egocentric view when the aircraft is in the predetermined exclusion zone.

A graphical depiction of insufficient system integrity for low-visibility synthetic vision system taxi mode is disclosed. The graphical depiction may be configured to be displayed on a display device of an aircraft. The graphical depiction may include an aircraft ownship symbol. The aircraft ownship symbol may be modified following a receipt of one or more signals related to a location of the aircraft relative to an aircraft movement surface and a comparison to the one or more signals to one or more thresholds. The comparison may be configured to determine whether there is insufficient system integrity in a degree of confidence in the location of the aircraft relative to the airport movement surface.

A graphical depiction of an exclusion zone on an airport movement surface is disclosed. The graphical depiction may be displayed on a display device of an aircraft. The display device may be further configured to display an aircraft ownship symbol. A location of the aircraft ownship symbol on the display device may be dependent on one or more signals related to the location of the aircraft relative to the airport movement surface. The display device of the aircraft may be configured to exit a taxi mode or enter the taxi mode based on a comparison between the exclusion zone and the one or more received signals.

A system, device, and method for minimizing terrain content in an image are disclosed. The terrain content minimization system may include a source of navigation data, a source of first surface data, and an image generator (IG). The IG may be configured to acquire navigation data; acquire first surface data; identify first surface data as a function of an elevation range; generate first pixel data; generate second pixel; and employ at least one of the first pixel data and the second pixel data. Second surface data could be comprised of a first subset of the surface data, and the third surface data could be comprised of a second subset of the surface data not included in the second subset of the first surface data. In addition, the pixel data could be representative of an image of terrain of the surface data.
