Application transition and transformation is provided by observing and analyzing execution of a monolithic application to provide properties of the data communication of the monolithic application, identifying, by an artificial intelligence engine, atomic application element(s) having logical functional block(s) that function independent of other atomic application element, determining, by the artificial intelligence engine, candidate atomic application element(s) for migrating out of the monolithic application and refactoring, based on automated testing and validation, refactoring at least one candidate atomic application element into a respective at least one refactored element, where the refactoring selects a platform technology for the refactored element and implements functionality of the candidate atomic application element as the refactored element of the selected platform technology, and providing the at least one refactored element to system(s) for execution thereon.

Application transition and transformation

A computer-implemented method includes: receiving, by a computing device, a data restore request; determining, by the computing device, at least one object in response to the data restore request; and querying, by the computing device, a client population to determine at least one client which has resources and network cardinality to assist the data restore request. The at least one client creates a distributed and crowd sourced cache of objects for the data restore request.

Crowd sourced data restores

A method, system, and program product for controlling power associated with connectivity between devices is provided. The method includes scheduling a copy function associated with copying data from a production hardware device to a secure hardware device at a specified time period. A first hardware connection between the production hardware device and a production network associated with the production hardware device is disabled during the specified time period and a second hardware connection between the production hardware device and the secure hardware device is enabled. A subsequent copy function is enabled for copying the data from the production hardware device to the secure hardware device. The second hardware connection between the production hardware device and the secure hardware device is disabled after the copy function has completed. In response, the first hardware connection between the production hardware device and the production network is enabled.

Device connectivity power control

A system for collecting water may include a base and a first arm connected to the base. The first arm may have a first base portion connected to the base and a first extension portion opposite the first base portion. The system may further include a grid extended between the base and the first extension portion. The grid may include a set of hydrophilic fibers extending substantially parallel to the base and a set of hydrophobic fibers intersecting with the hydrophilic fibers.

Thus, the system can analyze a video and determine, based on observed output of the device, whether the video has been modified. The output can be particularly difficult for humans to modify, detect, understand, or recreate, further impeding attempts to disguise edits to the video.

Wearable watermarks

A method, system and computer program product for data backup based on a workload behavior includes a first computer identifying, using machine learning tools, data associated with frequently accessed files on the first computer by a workload being processed by a second computer. The first computer processes the identified data associated with the frequently accessed files to generate a list of frequently accessed files by the workload, and compares the list of frequently accessed files to backup policy rules active on the first computer. Based on the comparison, the first computer identifies a mismatch between the list of frequently accessed files and the backup policy rules, and specifies a new backup rule to update the backup policy rules for each identified mismatch between the list of frequently accessed files and the backup policy rules.

Cognitive data backup

A method, system, and program product for selecting software is provided. The method includes retrieving audio data during a call with a subject matter expert (SME). The audio data is converted into a data training set and documents of the SME are converted into a document training set. Canonical documents generated by authors are analyzed and specified code is extracted from the text data training set and document training set. Attributes of individuals are detected. The attributes are compared with specified data and the canonical documents and it is determined that the individuals are requesting information associated with the text data. The information is provided to the individuals via the canonical documents or the documents of the SME and it is determined if a matched set of data exists between the attributes, the specified data, and the canonical documents. A digital action associated with results of the determination is executed.

Interactive selection and modification

Cross backup application diskless data migration is provided. Legacy data backups eligible for migration are identified in a legacy backup environment. Application specific information regarding the legacy data backups eligible for migration is received. The application specific information is filtered to indicate only legacy backup data that must be migrated representing a type of migration desired. The application specific information corresponding to the legacy backup data that must be migrated is presented as a virtual filesystem mounted within an operating system such that the application specific information is seen as live local data. A backup of the virtual filesystem mounted within the operating system is performed.

Cross-backup application diskless data migration

A content-lifecycle management system (CLMS) intercepts a request to perform an action upon a data object in a domain of a multi-domain computing environment during a certain phase of the object's lifecycle. The CLMS retrieves data and rules from a cross-domain distributed ledger that is accessible throughout the multi-domain environment. The retrieved information includes content-lifecycle management policies that control which actors can perform certain types of actions upon specific data objects during various lifecycle phases. The ledger also describes and classifies actors, dependency relationships between storage and infrastructure components of the environment, and the results of past requests. If the CLMS, using the ledger information, determines that performing the requested action would neither disrupt access to the data object nor be prohibited by the policies, the CLMS directs an appropriate content-management technology to perform the action, updates the ledger, and reports any rejected requests to other lifecycle-management components.

Cross-domain content-lifecycle management

Backup schedule optimization is provided. Data describing a first backup schedule for a first backup server is identified. Performance metric data and workload data for a first backup server and a second backup server is collected. If a count of backup windows represented by workload data for the first backup server exceeds a data collection threshold, an updated backup schedule that offloads a pending job from the first backup server to the second backup server can be generated. The updated backup schedule is generated if a maximum average I/O threshold for the first backup server was exceeded while a minimum average I/O threshold for the second backup server was deceeded. The maximum and minimum average I/O thresholds are calculated based on respective target average I/O rates for the first and second backup servers, the target average I/O rates derived from respective perform metric data.

Optimizing data backup schedules

A method includes creating a digital twin that represents a computing infrastructure, the digital twin representing all microcode versions present in components in the computing infrastructure. A set of control files in a set of locations in a file system is checked, by a computer system, in response to an event, wherein the set of control files has a set of extensions targeted by the ransomware. Data recovery enhancement system

Embodiments of the present invention provide methods, program products, and systems for determining an amount of usable storage in a backup environment. Embodiments of the present invention can be used to receive system information pertaining to a storage backup environment. Embodiments of the present invention can calculate a compression ratio of the storage on a backup server and a backup ratio between an amount of data on a client computer system and an amount of data on the backup server and calculate an average amount of storage consumed on the backup server. Embodiments of the present invention can determine an existing backup capacity for the storage backup environment by identifying an amount representing the actual capacity of data capable of being stored on the backup server and reducing the amount representing the actual capacity according to the calculated average amount of storage consumed on the backup server.

Backup schedule optimization is provided. Backup environment data is identified. Data describing a first backup schedule is identified. Performance metric data that includes data for a data storage array of computer data storage device(s) of a backup server is collected. Data describing backup log(s) that associated with jobs backed up to the data storage array and respectively executed during backup window(s) is received. A target average I/O rate is determined based on the performance metric data of the data storage array. A second backup schedule is generated based on the target average I/O rate, average I/O rate(s) of the data storage array, the backup environment data, and the data describing one or more backup logs. A start time of a job is scheduled in the second backup schedule for a different time in a backup window compared to a start time of the job in the first backup schedule.
