Lifetime prediction of a gas filling of an electrical switchgear

A switch for medium voltage applications is provided. The switch comprises a vacuum interrupter having a fixed contact, a movable contact movable in a first direction to and away from the fixed contact between a closed position and an open position, and a drive rod arranged to the movable contact for moving the contact between the closed position and the open position. The switch further comprises a changeover switch having a first terminal body, a second terminal body, an elongated pole body, and an operating rod. The elongate pole body is hinged with a first end to the first terminal body and rotatable between a connected position in which the second end of the pole body is in direct electrical contact with the second terminal body and a disconnected position in which the second end is disconnected from the second terminal body.

A sight glass for mounting in a hole, provided with radially inwardly extending protrusions, in a sheet material wall of a housing, for example a switchgear housing, includes: a body with a mounting surface and a cylindrical wall arranged on the mounting surface and extending perpendicularly from the mounting surface; a plurality of L-shaped slots in the radially outer surface of the cylindrical wall; and a gasket arranged on the mounting surface, the gasket enclosing the cylindrical wall. Connector for electrically connecting two panels having switchgear

A switching installation includes a gas tight housing with at least one wall part. An input conductor disposed in the housing is configured to carry an input voltage. An insulation is arranged around the input conductor so as to insulate the input conductor from the housing. A short-circuit device is changeable from a first condition, in which the insulation is insulating the input conductor from the housing, to a second condition, in which an electrical short circuit connection is created through the insulation between the input conductor and an auxiliary connection. An actuator is coupled to the at least one wall part of the gas tight housing and is configured to actuate the short-circuit device as a result of movement of the wall part caused by a pressure increase in the housing. A threshold device is configured to provide a preset threshold in the actuator.

An electrically insulated conductor connection assembly and a method for providing the same are provided. The electrically insulated conductor connection assembly includes first and second electrical conductors each comprising a body portion and an end portion. A fastening mechanism electrically and mechanically connects the end portions of the first electrical conductor to the end portion of the second electrical conductor, and an insulator overlays and electrically insulates the fastening mechanism. The end portions of the first and second electrical conductors and the fastening mechanism form a joint, which is structured to be fastenable and unfastenable. When the joint is fastened and the insulator is overlaying the fastening mechanism, the joint is electrically insulated.
