A method for producing a toothed workpiece wheel, the tooth root of which adjoins an end face of the workpiece wheel with a chamfer extending into the tooth flanks being formed, wherein the toothing of the workpiece wheel is created by skiving with a gear-cutting tool which has a first number of cutting teeth that each form cutting edges and the rotation axis of which is at a first crossed-axes angle to the axis of rotation of the workpiece wheel, with an infeed in a first infeed direction parallel to the direction of extension of the tooth flanks to be produced and of the tooth root. The chamfer is created by skiving with a chamfering tool which has a second number of cutting teeth that each form cutting edges and the rotation axis of which is at a second crossed-axes angle to the axis of the workpiece wheel, with an infeed in a second infeed direction parallel to the direction of extension of the chamfer to be produced in the tooth root. Also disclosed is an associated tool set.

Device and method for producing a chamfer on a toothed workpiece wheel

A clearance angle, of a blade-like tool or tool tooth of a tool for hob peeling workpieces is determined by defining the rake face contour of the tool and calculating the progression of path movement of the rake face during chip-breaking hob peeling, taking into account a pre-determinable transmission ratio between the tool and the workpiece determined by the respective number of teeth, and the desired tooth cross-section contour of the tool, and determining a tangential speed for points of the cutting edge of the tool during chip-breaking, wherein hob peeling is determined in the form of vectors that are displayed graphically as bundles for each point on the cutting-edge and a closed envelope surface is determined, which plus a desired clearance angle is selected as the shape for the flank face contour of the tool or of the flank face of the tool tooth. Method for determining the flank face contour of a gear skiving tool, gear skiving tool and use thereof

A method for producing a toothed workpiece gear, wherein the workpiece gear is clamped or fastened to a workpiece spindle, and a cutting tool having cutting teeth is clamped or fastened to a tool spindle. The tool spindle and the workpiece spindle are rotationally driven at a coupling ratio of the angles of rotation thereof having a periodic non-linearity or an axial distance from each other that changes periodically. The cutting teeth machine forms left and right tooth flanks of the teeth of the workpiece gear using left and right cutting edges in a chip-removing manner. A radial run-out error or a pitch error of the cutting tool is determined. The flank line shape errors of the right and left tooth flank resulting from the radial run-out error or the pitch error are reduced by the periodic non-linearity of the coupling ratio or the periodic change in the axial distance.

Method and device for forming teeth in a workpiece gear with reduced flank line shape error

A method, and device, for producing gears in gearwheels with a skiving wheel that features cutting teeth, a workpiece spindle for receiving the gearwheel and a tool spindle, wherein the tool and workpiece spindles are positioned at an axial cross-angle relative to one another, wherein the gearing is produced in successive processing steps. Spacewidths between the teeth are incrementally cut deeper. The axial spacing between the tool and workpiece spindles and a turning angle is changed between the processing steps in such a way that a first cutting edge section of the cutting tooth engages on a tooth flank section of a first tooth flank produced during a preceding processing step with an at least reduced material removal referred to other cutting edge sections of this cutting tooth.

A method and apparatus for cutting teeth in workpieces, wherein, in a roughing operation, a substantially uncut blank receives rough teeth using a cutting tool having cutting teeth. Operation teeth are produced, the tooth width of which is defined by the spacing between the flanks of the teeth and is greater than the target dimension.
