Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an air-based fryer, comprising: a food preparation chamber (); a heating device (); an airflow generating device () configured to enable air heated by the heating device () to form an airflow to heat food in the food preparation chamber (); a first temperature sensing device () located nearby or on the heating device () and configured to detect a temperature of a surface of the heating device (); and a controller () configured to control operation of the heating device () based on the temperature of the surface of the heating device () detected by the first temperature sensing device (). The air-based fryer reduces the generation of fume by restricting the surface temperature of the heating device.

Air-based fryer

The present invention relates to an air-based fryer apparatus () for preparing food. The apparatus () comprises a base part () comprising an upper support () and a gearing system () to generate a rotation force around a vertical rotation axis (). The apparatus () further comprises a container () arranged on the upper support () and a food basket () with an air-permeable bottom part (). The food basket is placed inside the container () such that a lateral gap () is arranged between walls of the container and walls of the food basket (), and such that a bottom gap () is arranged between the bottom part of the container and said air-permeable bottom part (). The apparatus () further comprises an upper lid device () arranged on top of the container (). The upper lid device comprises a system () with primary heating means () and air ventilation means () for generating a flow of hot air in the lateral gap (), in the bottom gap (), and in the food basket (). The gearing system () is adapted to provide a relative rotational movement at least between food arranged in the food basket and the flow of hot air in the food basket (). This invention allows enhancing possibilities for the food preparation.

Air-based fryer apparatus for preparing food

The present application relates to an air based fryer () for preparing food ingredients. The air based fryer comprises a food preparation chamber (), an air heater () for heating air in the food preparation chamber () and a fan () for circulating a flow of hot air in the food preparation chamber (). The air-based fryer () further comprises a fluid inlet () for the introduction of a fluid directly into the circulating flow of hot air. This solution allows increasing the humidity of the flow of hot air results in superior quality food in terms of taste, texture, and aesthetics and increases the versatility of the air-based flyer.

The apparatus comprises a food preparation chamber () having an outer wall (), an air heating system to circulate hot air () inside the food preparation chamber (), air cooling system to circulate cool air () on said outer wall () outside the food preparation chamber (), a thermal fuse system () to cut the electrical supply of said apparatus when the temperature of the thermal fuse system () exceeds a given threshold (TH), the thermal fuse system () being attached to said outer wall () outside the food preparation chamber (), a cover element () placed at the proximity of said thermal fuse system () to protect the thermal fuse system () from the cool air. This invention improves the thermal protection of the apparatus.

Apparatus for preparing food having an improved thermal protection

A hand-held skin treatment device comprises a source of electromagnetic radiation, an energy supply electrically coupled to the source and a controller arranged to control the energy supplied to the source of electromagnetic radiation. The source, the energy supply and the controller are enclosed in a watertight housing allowing use of the hand-held skin treatment device in a wet environment. To provide sufficient cooling of the source, the device comprises an internal heat exchanger in heat conducting relation with the source, an external heat exchanger outside of the watertight housing, and a heat path from the internal heat exchanger to the external heat exchanger that passes hermetically through a wall of the watertight housing. With this device, users can conveniently integrate their skin treatment activities with the daily washing routine in a shower or bath. The device is especially useful in the context of hair removal.

A food processor device for processing foodstuff includes a housing and a food processing container for holding foodstuff during processing. The food processing container is supported by the housing during use of the food processor device. The food processor further includes a user interface for exchanging information, during use, with the user and a food weighing device. The food weighing device includes a food weighing bowl for weighing foodstuff before the foodstuff is entered into the food processing container, and at least one weighing sensor for sensing the weight of the food weighing bowl. During weighing, the food weighing bowl is located above the food processing container. Further, the weighing bowl is suitable for covering the food processing container during food preparation.

A method of estimating a temperature of a material being heated is described. The method may comprise supplying electrical power to a heating element in dependence on a measured temperature, calculating a rate at which the amount of electrical power supplied changes over time, comparing the calculated rate with a plurality of known values in order to determine the value of a parameter relating to thermal properties of the material being heated, and calculating an estimated temperature based on the determined value of said parameter. In some embodiments, the method may further comprise detecting a drop in temperature of the material being heated, by detecting a change in the calculated rate at which the amount of electrical power supplied changes over time.
