A device for robot-assisted surgery with at least one coupling unit () of a manipulator arm () comprising a first transmitting means (). A sterile cover () comprising a sterile lock () serves to shield the manipulator arm () from a sterile area (). The sterile lock () is connectable both to the coupling unit () and to the sterile unit (). The sterile lock () has at least one lock flap () which in a closed state shields the first transmitting means () in a sterile manner. The sterile unit () comprising a second transmitting means () has sterile flaps () which in a closed state shield the second transmitting means () in a sterile manner. When connecting the sterile unit () to the sterile lock () the lock flap () and the sterile flap () are opened so that a direct transmission between the first transmitting means () and the second transmitting means () is possible. When separating the sterile unit () from the sterile lock () the lock flaps () and the sterile flap () are each automatically closed and locked so that they shield the first transmitting means () and the second transmitting means () from the sterile area (). Further, the invention relates to a sterile lock () and a method for robot-assisted surgery.

Device for robot-assisted surgery

A device to set and retrieve a reference point during a surgical procedure. The device () has an endoscope () which captures several images successively as an image sequence and generates image data corresponding to the image sequence, which data are then processed and output on at least one display unit (). A control unit () determines the first position of a first point at a first point in time, a second position of a second point at a second point in time, and a first distance vector between the first position and the second position. The positions are determined via the kinematic chain of a manipulator arm ().

Device to set and retrieve a reference point during a surgical procedure

A surgical robot system includes a manipulator for a surgical instrument intended for use in one single operation, a control unit for controlling the manipulator, and a read and write device for reading and storing data of a data memory. The read and write device is configured to read out first data with first information on the surgical instrument from the data memory and to transmit them to the control unit when the surgical instrument is coupled with the robot system. The control unit checks whether at least the one compatibility criterion meets at least one compatibility condition stored in the control unit in a preset manner based on the second information. The control unit approves the surgical instrument for use by the surgical robot system only when the compatibility criterion meets the at least one compatibility condition stored in a preset manner.

Method for the approval control of a surgical instrument to be used in a surgical robot system and surgical robot system

A device for robot-assisted surgery, comprising at least one non-sterile manipulator arm () having a coupling unit () with drive elements. The device further has an instrument unit () which comprises a surgical instrument () and a sterile sterile unit () for coupling the surgical instrument () to the drive elements of the coupling unit (). The coupling unit () comprises a translatory drive element () for generating a translatory drive movement and a rotatory drive element () for generating a rotatory drive movement. The sterile unit () has a translationally driven element () couplable to the translatory drive element () and a rotationally driven element () couplable to the rotatory drive element (). The device has a sterile lock () which is capable of being coupled to the coupling unit () and to the sterile unit ().

The invention relates to an apparatus for robot-assisted surgery, a positioning device () as well as a method for assisting in the positioning of a manipulator arm () of an apparatus for robot-assisted surgery. The apparatus comprises a positioning device () which is connected to a coupling unit () of the manipulator arm () instead of an instrument unit (). The instrument unit () has a surgical instrument () with an instrument shaft (), the proximal end () of which is passable through a body orifice of a patient () to a target area ().

Apparatus and method for robot-assisted surgery as well as positioning device

An apparatus for robot-assisted surgery as well as a method for assisting the positioning of a manipulator arm of an apparatus for robot-assisted surgery. An instrument unit is connected to a coupling unit of the manipulator arm. The instrument unit has a surgical instrument with an instrument shaft, the proximal end of which is passable through a body orifice of a patient to a target area. When connecting the instrument unit to the coupling unit the distance vector (V), which is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis of the instrument shaft of the surgical instrument, between the longitudinal axis and the target area defined by the coordinates (x, y, z) is determined. A first control information is generated when the amount of the determined distance vector (V) has and/or falls below a first preset value. An output unit outputs a signal dependent on the first control information.

Apparatus and method for robot-assisted surgery

The invention describes a retaining and positioning device of a surgical instrument and/or of an endoscope for minimally invasive surgery, more particularly for use within a surgical robot system, including a first axis of rotation, around which a retaining element can be rotated. The first axis of rotation always intersects with a longitudinal axis of at least one surgical instrument and/or of an endoscope in a pivotal point by means of a thrust drive being attached to the retaining element, to which thrust drive an instrument drive unit can be rotatably arranged around the pivotal point. The instrument drive unit has a telescopic arrangement via which the surgical instrument can be moved in a translational manner along the longitudinal axis thereof by means of a guide arrangement in the body in such a manner that the longitudinal axis of the surgical instrument is variably adjustable relative to the telescopic arrangement.

Endoscope comprising a system with multiple cameras for use in minimal-invasive surgery

A method and an arrangement for carrying out an information flow and data flow in a geodetic instrument with image processing is disclosed. For this purpose, the data flow and information flow needed for image processing are distributed to a plurality of function modules which are arranged in the instrument and which comprise function groups and are carried out by means of these function groups. The arrangement includes a plurality of function groups which are arranged in the instrument at locations determined by its construction design. These function groups are composed of a plurality of function modules.

Method and arrangement for carrying out an information flow and data flow for geodetic instruments

A method and an arrangement for determining the spatial coordinates of at least one object point P from the coordinates of at least two base points which serve as reference points and which do not lie in a plane by means of a video tachymeter which is arranged at a recording stand point, is swivelable about a vertical axis StA and comprises a distance measuring arrangement, a video camera with CCD matrix, a sighting device and angle measuring devices, wherein the video camera is tiltable about a horizontal axis. The coordinates of optional object points are derived from base points in the terrain which are marked and measured by a reflector, laser spot or the like. In addition, a target image containing the marked base points and the object points is recorded and stored. The coordinates of optional object points are then determined from the position data (coordinates) in the target images, which position data are contained in the target images of the marked base points determined by the tachymeter.

Method and an arrangement for determining the spatial coordinates of at least one object point

A method for target seeking in geodetic survey measurements comprises the steps of generating at least a first light bundle by a measurement device from a light source arranged therein, the light bundle periodically pivoting back and forth or revolving about the standing axis of the measurement device and fanning out in the vertical plane and being sent to at least one receiver arrangement arranged in at least one target station arranged at a distance from the measurement device. The steps of the method also include generating an electrical signal when the light bundle hits the receiver arrangement of the at least one target station, conveying these electrical signals generated in the target station, or the time difference determined from these electrical signals to the measurement device through a transmitting device provided in the target station, determining the horizontal angle to the respective sighted target station from the time difference of two electrical signals generated one after the other in time by angles measured or stored at constant time intervals and pivoting a second modulated light bundle at an angle in the vertical plane and sending it in the direction of the target station for determining the vertical angle of the measurement device. Further, when the second light bundle hits the receiver arrangement in the target station, the method includes the step of generating another electrical signal and sending it to the measurement device and determining the vertical angle to the respective target station therefrom in the measurement device. Also disclosed is a device in accordance with the method.
