A transfer device for transferring items to be conveyed, such as flat goods, from a feed conveyor to conveyor spaces of an onward conveyor. The transfer device forms a stationary receiving space for at least one item to be conveyed, the receiving space being delimited at the bottom by a movable support element. The support element is movable via a displacing device between a support position, in which the at least one item to be conveyed lies flat on the support element, and a delivery position, in which the item to be conveyed falls, under the influence of gravity through a released transfer opening downwards, and onto a conveyor space of the onward conveyor that is displaced past below the receiving space.

A conveying device for conveying and aligning flat products or stacks of flat products, in particular printed products, includes leading pins for stop on a leading edge of conveyed products and trailing pins or pushers for stop on a trailing edge of the conveyed products. The products are insertable between the leading and trailing pins and are thus aligned by the pins. A distance between successive pushers is adjustable without parts of the device having to be exchanged.

Device and method for conveying and aligning flat products

The method according to the invention of transferring stacked, sheet-like, flexible products (10), in particular printed products (), to a belt conveyor () has a gripper () by means of which the product () at the bottom of the stack of products in each case is conveyed from a receiving region into a transfer region (). In order to accelerate the product as quickly as possible to the speed, and in the conveying direction (F), of the belt conveyor (), the method has a contact-pressure roller () which follows the gripper () in the transfer region (). This contact-pressure roller () presses the product () onto the belt conveyor (), the gripper () releasing the product () at least more or less at the same time as the operation of pressing the product onto the conveying belt () of the belt conveyor () commences.

A force transmission or transport device having a line of force transmitting elements (,), a guide (,) for guiding the line of force transmitting elements (,) along a predetermined course, and at least one drive. A tensioning drive (,) is provided at one end of a section (,) of the predetermined course. A further drive (,), or an intermitting stop (,), is provided at the other end of the section (,) for tensioning the line of force transmitting elements (,) by a tractive or a compressive load. The further drive (,) or stop (,) acts substantially without slippage on the force transmitting elements (,). The tensioning drive (,), via a friction clutch, starts slipping when the desired tension has built up.
