A ride vehicle for an amusement park includes a restraint system. The restraint system includes a first conformable component configured to be disposed over a first lower portion of a guest's body. The restraint system further includes a behind-the-knee component configured to be disposed behind a leg of the guest. The restraint system additionally includes a linkage mechanism configured to move the first conformable component, the behind-the-knee component, or a combination thereof, to secure the restraint system to the guest.

Ride restraint system and method

A track set for a toy vehicle includes a track portion and an actuatable mechanism. The track portion defines a track path between a first end of the track portion and a second end of the track portion. The actuatable mechanism attempts to capture a toy vehicle as the toy vehicle moves along the track path, between the first end and the second end, in response to select triggerings generated by the toy vehicle traversing the track path. The actuatable mechanism removes the toy vehicle from the track portion when the actuatable mechanism captures the toy vehicle. The actuatable mechanism may include a carriage that captures the toy vehicle. The carriage is initially disposed in a rest position that is off-path from the track path and is selectively movable, along a carriage pathway, to an actuated position that is also off-path from the track path.

Toy vehicle track set

A toy vehicle launcher has a housing, a handle, a slidable plate, a retention member, and biasing elements. The handle is moveably attached to the housing. The slidable plate is operatively coupled to the handle and movable with respect to the housing. The slidable plate includes sequential notches. The first biasing element couples the slidable plate to the housing. The first biasing element biases the slidable plate in a first direction with respect to the housing. Movement of the handle moves the slidable plate in a second direction against the bias of the first biasing element. The retention member is disposed proximate the slidable plate and configured to engage and disengage with notches. The second biasing element attaches the retention member to the launcher housing. The second biasing element biases the retention member into contact with the slidable plate.
