Sensor for detecting metal

A reconfigurable ground penetrating radar (GPR) device, an autonomous GPR system and method of acquiring radar data about a medium. The GPR device includes a radar antenna with a first polarization, a processor unit connected to said antenna, a casing around the antenna and the processor unit, a wheel assembly including a holder, a wheel and a wheel rotation sensor. The wheel rotation sensor is connected to the processor unit and an axis of the wheel is pivotal relative to the first polarization.

Reconfigurable GPR device

A reconfigurable GPR device for acquiring radar data about a medium includes a radar antenna with a first polarization, a processor unit connected to the antenna, and a casing around the antenna and the processor unit. Further the device includes at least one of a wheel assembly and a direction-determining unit. If present, the wheel assembly includes a holder, a wheel and a wheel rotation sensor. The wheel rotation sensor is connected to the processor unit, and an axis of the wheel is pivotal relative to the first polarization. If present, the direction-determining unit is connected to the processor unit and adapted to determine directional information. The directional information is descriptive of an angle between a direction of movement of the device and the first polarization.

An apparatus for testing a component by ultrasound comprises a plurality of identical devices. Each device has several channels of ultrasonic transducers as well as a master controller. The individual devices are daisy-chained and controlled by one of their master controllers. Mechanical connectors can be used to mechanically couple adjacent devices. Further, a number of differently shaped handles is provided, all of which can be coupled to a common handle interface.

An arrangement () for inspecting an object () comprising a mobile measuring unit () for determining a measured value associated with the object (). The measuring unit () has an interface for interchanging data with further units (-). The arrangement also comprises a base unit () in which data records () can be stored and displayed. A detection mechanism () is provided for detecting a measurement position (), at which the measured value is determined, and/or a measurement time at which the measured value is determined. The measured value determined by the measuring unit () can be transmitted, together with measurement position and/or measurement time, as a data record to the base unit (). The mobile measuring unit () determines measured values for an internal structure and/or an internal state of components (), in particular inaccessible components, of the object () in a non-destructive manner.
