An ultrasonic flow rate measuring device, especially a clamp-on type, is mounted on a line through which medium flows with at least one ultrasonic transducer and a guide frame for guiding and holding the ultrasonic transducer. A fixing mechanism allows the ultrasonic transducer to be moved onto the line or away from the line and also allows it to be axially moved and fixed on the guide frame or unclamped from it. The ultrasonic flow rate measuring device is able to be easily unclamped for maintenance and repair purposes and then re-attachable to the line in the original configuration.

Clamp-on ultrasonic flow rate measuring device having a guide frame for guiding the ultrasonic transducer

An ultrasonic flow rate measuring device for measuring the flow rate through a line through which a medium flows has at least one ultrasonic transducer that has a piezo element and a connecting element designed for attaching the ultrasonic transducer to the line with the piezo element attached to the connecting element. An intermediate layer including a plate is disposed between the piezo element and the connecting element that is electrically conductive and attachable to an electromagnetic shield. Thus, an ultrasonic flow rate measuring device that delivers a greater signal-to-noise ratio is achieved.

Ultrasonic flow rate measuring device

An ultrasonic flow rate measuring device for measuring the flow rate of a medium flowing through a line (), with at least one ultrasonic transducer () and a guide frame () for guiding and holding the ultrasonic transducer (). A process and device for mounting a clamp-on flow rate measurement device on a measurement pipe using a mounting device having a holding strap with catches. The holding strap can be fastened on the measurement pipe by the holding strap being guided into and through the catch and tightened. A holder is attached to the holding strap to which the clamp-on flow rate measurement device can be fastened. First the mounting device is mounted on the measurement pipe, afterwards the clamp-on flow rate measurement device is attached to the holder without the holding strap being completely tensioned, so that the clamp-on flow rate measurement device is loosely held on the measurement pipe. Then, after aligning the clamp-on flow rate measurement device is, the clamp-on flow rate measurement device is completely attached to the holding means by further tensioning of the holding strap by lifting the catch off the measurement pipe.

Process for mounting a clamp-on flow rate measurement device and mounting device for attaching a clamp-on flow rate measurement device

A clamp-on measurement device, for attachment to a support, with at least one instrument transformer, a retaining device for holding the instrument transformer and a fastening device () for attachment of the retaining means to the support. The retaining device can be attached to the fastening device () such that the retaining device can be moved in at least one predetermined direction away from or toward the support and can be pivoted along a pivot axis which runs preferably perpendicular to the predetermined direction. This results in the clamp-on measurement device, after attachment to a support, being easily disengaged from the support for maintenance and repair purposes and then can be reengaged with the support without losing its original alignment.

An ultrasonic flow rate measuring device, especially a clamp-on ultrasonic flow rate measuring device, with at least one ultrasonic transducer () for measuring the flow rate through a line through which a medium flows. This ultrasonic flow-measuring method permits real-time compensation for the dead time during the actual measuring process, the result being highly accurate measurements.

Ultrasonic flow-measuring method

Illustrated and described is an ultrasonic flowmeter for flowing media, that operates according to the transit time method, with a measuring tube and at least one transmitting and/or receiving head, in connection with which the transmitting and/or receiving head has a housing and an ultrasonic transducer with which ultrasonic signals can be emitted into the flowing medium and ultrasonic signals can be received from the flowing medium. The ultrasonic flowmeter for flowing media is characterized in that a damping device with at least one damping element is arranged around the sides of the housing of the transmitting and/or receiving head and at least partly adjacent to it, and the damping device is provided in a recess of the measuring tube.
