A transformer for a DC-DC converter, such as a resonant converter, is provided. The converter includes a transformer unit that includes at least one winding with a first winding connection and a second winding connection, and a capacitor assembly consisting of at least one capacitor with a first capacitor assembly connection and a second capacitor assembly connection. The capacitor assembly is arranged so as to lie against the transformer unit in order to form an assembly. The capacitor assembly connections are connected to the winding connections via one or more first connection parts in a specified manner with respect to the electric connections. The capacitor assembly connections and/or the winding connections are electrically connected to multiple second connection parts in a specified manner with respect to the electric connections for connecting to a first power module and a second power module.

Transformer for a DC/DC voltage converter

A resonant DC-DC converter includes an inverter circuit, a rectifier circuit and a transformer unit. The inverter circuit is connected to a first terminal of the transformer unit, and the rectifier circuit is connected to a second terminal of the transformer unit. The first and second terminals are galvanically isolated from one another by a first transformer. The transformer unit is configured to adapt a transformation ratio of the transformer unit. The transformer unit has an energy transmission path which includes an inverter and a second transformer, with an input of the energy transmission path being arranged parallel to a primary side of the first transformer and an output of the energy transmission path being arranged in series with the secondary side of the first transformer.

Resonant DC-DC converter

A method for controlling a converter, wherein positive and negative lines of an intermediate circuit are connected by a half-bridge to an alternating voltage phase conductor via semiconductor switches, where each semiconductor switch has a series connected separate fuse, and where the method includes detecting a defective semiconductor switch that permanently remains in an electrically conductive state and incrementally melting the fuse of the defective semiconductor switch by short-circuiting the positive and the negative lines to each other multiple times via the defective semiconductor switch and via at least two others of the semiconductor switches, during which each short circuit lasts only one pulse duration Tsoa that is shorter than a melting duration Ta needed by the fuse to melt in the event of a continuous short circuit such that the converter robustly reacts in the event of a permanent short circuit caused by one of the semiconductor switches.

Converter having short-circuit interruption in a half-bridge

A device supplying an electrical voltage from a battery system includes a series connection composed of a first battery submodule supplying a first battery submodule voltage and at least one second battery submodule supplying a second battery submodule voltage, a first voltage conversion module receiving the first battery submodule voltage and converting the first battery submodule voltage into an AC output voltage to be supplied to an electrical component connected to the first voltage conversion module, and a coupling device electrically connecting the first voltage conversion module to the first battery submodule and to the at least one second battery submodule such that the first voltage conversion module receives a sum voltage composed of the first battery submodule voltage and the second battery submodule voltage.

Device for providing an electrical voltage as well as drive arrangement and method

A converter for an aircraft includes an intermediate circuit for providing a DC voltage between a positive line and a negative line, at least two rectifiers connected to the intermediate circuit to produce the DC voltage from input AC voltages and at least two inverters connected to the intermediate circuit to produce AC output voltages from the DC voltage. The DC voltage terminals of the rectifiers are connected to a first series circuit and the DC voltage terminals of the inverters are connected to a second series circuit. The positive line and the negative line of the intermediate circuit are connected on an input side via the first series circuit and on the output side via the second series circuit. At least one of the DC voltage terminals includes a short circuit for short-circuiting terminal contacts by which the DC voltage terminal is connected to the respective series circuit.

Apparatus and method for state of charge compensation for a battery system

A modular high-frequency converter includes submodules, each having an input-side half bridge and a DC link circuit with a DC link capacitance connected in parallel to the half bridge. A DC link circuit voltage drop across the DC link capacitance of each submodule is controlled to a target voltage by adjusting a duty cycle with a closed-loop control structure having a pilot control and a downstream closed-loop error control. Within the framework of the pilot control, a target value for each duty cycle and a target value for the supply current are determined, using a mathematical model of the converter, based on the load-side output currents flowing out of the DC link voltage circuits and on target values of the DC link circuit voltages. Switch position parameters, which map the effect of the switch positions of the input-side half bridges, are each replaced by an associated duty cycle.
