The invention relates to an airfoil for a gas turbine, which comprises a compound fillet disposed between the airfoil and a platform. The compound fillet consists of a first arc and a second arc. A first end of the first arc tangentially adjoins an outer surface of the airfoil. A second end of the first arc tangentially adjoins a first end of the second arc. A second end of the second arc tangentially adjoins a surface of the platform, wherein the following equation is satisfied: 0.15&#x2266;R1/s&#x2266;0.45, and 0.09&#x2266;a/s&#x2266;0.27.

The guide vane of a gas turbine comprises a blade having an outer platform connectable to a guide vane carrier or gas turbine casing, and at the opposite end an inner platform that carries a cover plate. The inner platform has a dovetail housing to which the cover plate is connected. The method for replacing the cover plate consists in separating the cover plate from the inner platform by cutting along the profile of the dovetail housing, then making the cover plate to slide out of the dovetail housing, thus inserting a new or refurbished cover plate into the dovetail housing.

A hollow-cast casting is provided, which includes at least one core opening that is caused by the production technique and which has a closure device that closes the core opening. The closure device can be inserted into the core opening axially in relation to the core opening and provides at least one surface region which, in axial projection in relation to the core opening, can be made to abut a surface region of the casting that is facing toward the casting. The surface region lies radially outside a cross-sectional area predetermined by the core opening.

For preparing a gas stream cleaned from dust and dirt particles, a device is proposed in which an outflow channel () for cleaned medium has at its mouth in an inflow channel () an extension element (), which projects into the inflow channel. A cover element () covers an end inflow aperture () of the extension element. In an embodiment of the invention, the extension element () has lateral inlet apertures (). The cover element () is preferably constituted hood-shaped, and has axial extension elements (), which at least partially cover the extension element () in the axial direction, and advantageously extend over the lateral inlet apertures. The stream entering the outflow channel () for cleaned medium must overcome strong flow deflections, so that particles with a low flow following ability cannot get into this channel. Further outflow channels () for conducting the remaining dust-laden medium are arranged substantially flush with the wall () of the inflow channel.
