A technique is described for mobile metering of a communication network. As an example, a server may receive, from one or more mobile devices, one or more data packets and extract one or more power measurements, determine a distribution protocol associated with the one or more power measurements, identify a geolocation associated with the one or more power measurements, and determine signal quality data based on the geolocation and the one or more power measurements, and store the signal quality data at a server.

The present disclosure is directed to methods and systems for spectrum leasing. The spectrum leasing system performs a set of functions to provide potential leasing customers with flexible leasing options. The spectrum leasing system can utilize inputs such as: customer problems, size and type of customer premises, list of customer location(s), requested spectrum bands, requested network capability at a customer location, and geographic information system (GIS) information about the customer premises, nearby buildings, and venues The spectrum leasing system can use the input information to identify and select leasing and monetization opportunities for customers. In some implementations, the spectrum leasing system analyzes a network provider spectrum portfolio, proximity of existing and planned public network cell sites, and a set of pre-established business rules for spectrum leasing to identify spectrum bands available for leasing and determine pricing of the lease.

The RF communication circuitry controlled to select a frequency band corresponding to the broadcast digital television content from the broadcast digital television signal. Encoded broadcast digital content is received from the RF communication circuitry and a digital bitstream is decoded to obtain the selected broadcast digital television content therein.

Disclosed is an over-the-air (OTA) antenna meter application ('meter app') that wirelessly connects to an OTA antenna meter (“meter”) installed with an OTA antenna and presents information that facilitates a user in installing the OTA antenna at the premises of a customer. For example, the meter app can help the user in pointing and peaking the OTA antenna for one or more broadcast channels, e.g., those selected by the customer. The meter app can store installation information of the OTA antenna for various installations, which can be used in generating a recommendation of, or predicting, installation information for installing the OTA antenna at a specified address. The predicted installation information can include broadcast channels that would be available for reception at the specified address and their signal strength, a specific location of installation on the premises, or whether a pre-amplifier and/or filter is required.

A process for right-sizing a software stack includes: identifying a first wireless communications node (1WCN) for a wireless communications system (WCS) that includes a second wireless communications node (2WCN), obtaining a first adaptive software stack (1ASS) which configures the Device to communicate data to a Destination using the 1WCN, and determining if the 1ASS optimizes the Device for the communicating of the data with the Destination via the 1WCN. If not optimized, a second adaptive software stack (2ASS) may be obtained and a determination made as to whether the 2ASS second optimizes the Device. At least one of the 1ASS and the 2ASS may be implemented and the Device is coupled with the 1WCN by a communications links. A first application may be selected and executed. During software execution application data may be communicated with the Destination using the 1WCN and the as implemented 1ASS or 2ASS.

Based on these parameters, a predefined cellular network slice template can be selected from a library of predefined cellular network slice templates. A new cellular network slice is then defined using the selected predefined cellular network slice. Cellular network access can be granted to the client via the defined cellular network slice and feedback on the performance of the cellular network slice is provided. Based on the client feedback and parameters of the defined cellular network slice, the predefined cellular network slice template in the slice template library is updated.
