The invention relates to an installation for producing a medical preparation, in particular for producing a preparation for parenteral nutrition. The installation comprises a pump with which liquids can be transferred from a plurality of source containers into a target container. The installation has a modular construction and comprises a weighing module and a main module with the pump. According to a further aspect of the invention, the pump is arranged at an inclination with respect to a vertical plane. According to a further aspect of the invention, the installation comprises cascaded valve nodes.

The invention relates to a valve unit for a system for producing parenteral nutrition, in which unit a three-way valve is used for each pair of connections to a source container. The valve unit is a component that can be mounted on die system and removed again after use. The valve unit is in particular provided as an interchangeable disposable component.

The invention relates to a set of scales and to an installation for producing a medical composition using a set of scales. The set of scales comprise interchangeable securing means for a target container, the weight thereof being measured by the set of scales.
