A system may include a lock assembly having a shell and a plug rotatable with respect to the shell and a lock operating object for operating the lock assembly including a key. The system may further include an audit enhancement assembly configured to facilitate creation of an audit trail of operation of the lock assembly by the lock operating object, and may include a motion sensor configured to sense rotational motion of the lock operating object and/or the plug of the lock assembly. The audit enhancement assembly may include processing circuitry in communication with the motion sensor, and memory circuitry in communication with the processing circuitry to receive and record a value derived from a motion signal from the motion sensor and a temporal value associated with a motion signal event.

A security assembly may have at least two components including a first component and a second component. The first and second components may be engageable together, and may have an engaged condition and a disengaged condition. The engaged condition may be characterized by the first and second components being abutted against each other, and the disengaged condition may be characterized by the first and second components being spaced from each other. The security assembly may be configured to utilize a physical manipulation aspect and a magnetic interaction aspect between the first and second components.

A system may include a first security component configured to emanate a signal with an authorizing code, and may have a magnetic field generating device configured to generate a signaling magnetic field including the signal with the authorizing code. The system may also include a second security component configured to wirelessly receive the signal with the authoring code when the second security component is proximate to the signaling magnetic field of the first security component. The second security component may include a magnetic field sensor configured to sense the signal emanating from the magnetic field generating device, and the sensor may be changed between first and second states by a change in the signaling magnetic field.

A deadbolt lock status sensing assembly for monitoring status of a deadbolt member of a deadbolt assembly on a door may include a sensible element mountable on one of the door and the deadbolt assembly, and a sensing element mountable on one of the door and the deadbolt assembly. The sensing element and the sensing element may be configured to move with respect to each other when the deadbolt member of the deadbolt assembly moves between an extended condition and a retracted condition of the deadbolt.

System and apparatus for sensing and providing alerts for deadbolt lock status

A system may include a lock assembly having secured and unsecured conditions and having an opening for receiving a lock actuating object. An access restriction element may be positionable with respect to the lock assembly to affect access to the opening of the lock assembly. The access restriction element may have at least two conditions, a blocking condition in which the access restriction element at least partially obstructs access to the opening of the lock assembly and an access condition in which the access restriction element is configured to permit access to the opening of the lock assembly. The system may also include an access detection assembly configured to detect attempted access to the opening of the lock assembly by sensing changing of the access restriction element from the blocking condition to the access condition.
