A scanning element includes a circuit board and electronic components. The circuit board includes first and second shielding layers, a first detector unit is arranged in first and second layers, and a second detector unit is arranged in third and fourth layers. A first straight line passes through the first detector unit and the first shielding layer but not through the second shielding layer. Starting from the first detector unit, the first shielding layer is located beyond the center plane. A second straight line passes through the second detector unit and the second shielding layer but not through the first shielding layer. Starting from the second detector unit, the second shielding layer is located beyond the center plane. The first and second straight lines are orthogonal to the center plane.

Scanning element and inductive position measuring device therewith

A scanning element includes a multi-layer circuit board and electronic components, and the circuit board includes a first detector unit having a first receiver track. Moreover, the circuit board includes a second detector unit having a second receiver track. The circuit board has a geometrical center plane located between the detector units. The receiver tracks include first and second receiver conductor traces, each having a periodic characteristic, and the first receiver track has a first gap along its extension, which is restricted by the first receiver conductor traces. The second receiver track has a second gap, which is restricted by the second receiver conductor traces. The circuit board has a plated through-hole arranged both within the first gap and within the second gap.

Scanning element and inductive position measuring device having a scanning element

A scanning element includes a multilayer circuit board having a first detector unit arranged in a first layer and in a second layer. In addition, the circuit board has a second detector unit, which is arranged in a third layer and in a fourth layer, and a first shielding layer, which is arranged in a fifth layer. The circuit board moreover has a geometrical center plane, which is located between the detector units, and furthermore has vias, which are arranged at an offset from one another in a direction parallel to the center plane. The fifth layer is structured such that that a web that is electrically insulated with respect to this first shielding layer is arranged next to the first shielding layer, the web being electrically contacted with the vias and electrically connecting the vias to one another.

An inductive position measuring device includes a scanning element and a scale element. The position measuring device is able to determine positions of the scanning element relative to the scale element in a first direction and in a second direction. The scale element includes graduation structures arranged next to one another along the first direction, and the graduation structures have a periodic characteristic with a second period length along the second direction. The scanning element has a first receiver track, a second receiver track, a third receiver track, and an excitation lead. Each of the three receiver tracks has two receiver circuit traces. The receiver circuit traces have a periodic characteristic with a first period length along the first direction, and the receiver tracks are arranged at an offset from one another in the second direction.

Inductive position measuring device

An inductive position-measuring device includes a scanning element and a graduation element, rotatable about an axis relative to the scanning element. The scanning element has exciter lead(s), a first receiver track, including receiver line(s), extending according to a first periodic pattern having a first period along a first direction, and a second receiver track, including receiver line(s). The graduation element includes a graduation track, extending in the circumferential direction and including a graduation period. An electromagnetic field generated by the exciter lead(s) with the aid of the graduation track is able to be modulated, so that an angular position is detectable with the aid of the receiver line of the first receiver track, and a position of the graduation element in the first direction relative to the scanning element is detectable with the aid of the receiver line of the second receiver track.

A sensor for measuring the position of a component that is displaceable relative to the sensor, includes a circuit board and a metal body. The circuit board includes a first region in which a detector is located, and a second region in which electronic components are located, which are electrically connected to the detector. The metal body includes a first layer having a first area as well as a second layer having a second area. The first region of the circuit board is fixed in place in the first area and the second region of the circuit board is fixed in place in the second area. The first layer and the second layer of the metal body are situated between the first region and the second region of the circuit board so that the first region is located in a first plane and the second region is located in a second plane.

Sensor for measuring a position

A scale for inductive position measurement along a measurement direction X includes a support channel made of electrically conductive material having two interconnected spaced-apart side walls extending parallel to the measurement direction X and enclosing an interstitial space therebetween. A succession of first graduations made of electrically conductive material are disposed on the support channel, located in the interstitial space opposite and spaced from one of the two side walls and extending parallel to the measurement direction X. A succession of second graduations made of electrically conductive material are disposed on the support channel, located in the interstitial space opposite and spaced from the other one of the two side walls and extending parallel to the measurement direction X. The succession of first graduations and the succession of second graduations form a gap configured to receive a scanner operable to inductively scan the first graduations and the second graduations.

Scale and position-measuring device

An inductive position-measuring device for absolute position determination includes a scale having a first measuring graduation extending in a measurement direction and a second measuring graduation disposed opposite to the first measuring graduation and extending parallel thereto. A scanner is disposed in a gap between the first measuring graduation and the second measuring graduation. The scanner is displaceable relative to the scale in the measurement direction for purposes of position measurement. The scanner includes a first coil arrangement for scanning the first measuring graduation and generating a first position-dependent scanning signal, and a second coil arrangement, disposed opposite to the first coil arrangement, for scanning the second measuring graduation and generating a second position-dependent scanning signal. At least one intermediate layer of soft magnetic material disposed between the first coil arrangement and the second coil arrangement.

Inductive position-measuring device for absolute position determination

An inductive position-measuring device includes a scanning element and a graduation element that are movable relative to each other in a first direction. The scanning element includes exciter conductors and three receiver tracks. The first and the second receiver track are disposed at a distance relative to each other, and the third receiver track is located between the first and the second receiver track. The graduation element includes two graduation tracks which are disposed at a distance relative to each other, and which have different graduation periods. Furthermore, electromagnetic fields generated by the exciter conductors are able to be modulated by the graduation tracks, so that a relative position in the first direction is detectable by the first and the second receiver track, while a relative position in a second direction, which is oriented orthogonally with respect to the first direction, is detectable by the third receiver track.

Inductive position-measuring device

A position-measuring device includes a code carrier having a first graduation track and a second graduation track, the second graduation track being an incremental graduation track. A first detector system is configured to scan the graduation tracks so as to generate first position signals. A second detector system is configured to scan the second graduation track so as to generate second position signals. A first position-processing unit is configured to process the first position signals so as to yield a first absolute position value. A second position-processing unit is configured to process the second position signals so as to yield a second absolute position value. The first position-processing unit is configured to feed an absolute auxiliary position value to the second position-processing unit. The second position-processing unit is initializable with the absolute auxiliary position value.

Position-measuring device and method for operating the same

A position measuring device includes a position detection unit, which may be used to process positional signals that result from scanning a code track by a scanning unit, into digital positional values, a first interface unit for the communication with a control unit via a data transmission channel, and a second interface unit for the communication with at least one peripheral unit. The first interface unit is a hard-wired interface, and the second interface unit is a wireless radio interface.

Position measuring device

A method a scale having an inductively scannable graduation, the scale including a sequence of graduation elements disposed in a measuring direction and a layer stack including a succession of metal layers. The succession of metal layers includes a ferromagnetic metal carrier layer and a graduation layer that forms the sequence of graduation elements. The carrier layer is disposed between the graduation layer and a metal substrate, and the metal substrate is dimensioned to definitively determine mechanical properties of the layer stack.

Position measuring instrument, scale, and method for producing a scale

An inductive position sensor includes an electronic circuit, which is configured such that initially three digital signals are able to be generated from the signals detected by three receiver printed conductors. At least two position values are ascertainable by combining the three digital signals, and the position values are able to be supplied to a comparator. A measuring system includes, in addition to the position sensor, a data interface and sequential electronics which include the comparator.

Inductive position sensor, measuring system equipped therewith and method for operating a position sensor

An inductive angle-of-rotation sensor includes a printed circuit board, on which one excitation conductor path, and a first, second as well as third receiving conductor path are applied. The angle-of-rotation sensor further includes a graduation element having a first and second graduation track. The first and second graduation tracks, and the first and second receiving conductor paths are arranged such that signals having a first period number are able to be generated by the first receiving conductor path, and signals having a second period number are able to be generated by the second receiving conductor path. The graduation element further has a third graduation track, so that signals having the first period number are able to be generated by the third receiving conductor path. In addition, a method is provided for operating an angle-of-rotation sensor.

Inductive angle-of-rotation sensor and method for operating an inductive angle-of-rotation sensor

In a position-measuring device and a method for transmitting movement information from a position-measuring device to sequential electronics, the position-measuring device includes a position-measuring unit, a movement-measuring unit, an arithmetic logic unit and an interface unit. Position values of two objects in a measuring direction are measurable by the position-measuring unit. The movement-measuring unit is used to ascertain a movement value of the two objects. The position values and the movement value are supplied to the arithmetic logic unit which ascertains movement information in the form of a correction value that is suitable for calculating the movement value in sequential electronics from an instantaneous position value, at least one previous position value, a controller cycle time that indicates the time interval between the measurements of position values, and the correction value. The data-word length of the correction value is substantially less than the data-word length of the movement value.
