A vehicle for collecting image data of a target object for generating a classifier. The vehicle includes an image sensor and an electronic processor. The electronic processor is configured to determine a plurality of potential trajectories of the vehicle, determine, for each of the plurality of potential trajectories of the vehicle, a total number of views including the target object that would be captured by the image sensor as the vehicle moved along the respective trajectory, and determine a key trajectory of the vehicle from the plurality of potential trajectories based on the total number of views including the target of the key trajectory.

One system includes an electronic processor configured to receive a dataset associated with an assembly line. The dataset includes a classification for each of the plurality of products produced by the assembly line, where the assembly line is associated with a plurality of tests. The electronic processor is also configured to determine a set of test combinations for the assembly line based on the plurality of tests and, for each test combination, determine a number of missing products based on the classification for each of the plurality of products. The electronic processor is also configured to determine at least one test to remove based on the number of missing products for each test combination and output a result including an indication of the at least one test to remove.

Test time reduction for manufacturing processes by removing a redundant test

A system and method for managing a supply chain for distributing products integrates inventory control with packaging optimization. Historical demand data, cost and dimension data for products, containers, and shipping vessels is obtained, and a plurality of layout configurations for packing the products into the containers is determined. Based on the historical demand data and the cost and dimension data, an optimization model is used to determine (i) a layout configuration for the packing the products in the containers from amongst the plurality of layout configurations, and (ii) a shipment frequency for shipping containers packed according to the determined layout configuration. The optimization model is configured to minimize a cost of distributing products in the supply chain.

A method for operating a motor vehicle includes providing route segments of a route ahead of the vehicle that is most likely to be traveled as well as route parameters associated with the route segments, dividing the route ahead of the vehicle that is most likely to be traveled into sub-segments, optimizing the setpoint speeds at the segment boundaries of the sub-segments with respect to a specified target function, interpolating the setpoint speeds obtained at the positions of the segment boundaries to obtain a characteristic curve of the setpoint speed, and operating the motor vehicle based on a specification of the characteristic curve of the setpoint speed.
