A patient interface and a patient interface system comprise a responsive material and a method for preventing the formation of red marks due to wearing a patient interface that is pressing against the skin of a patient for a longer time and/or for reducing air leakages of the patient interface that may result from an unintended shift of the patient interface on the patient's face. The responsive material is configured for alternating the pressure exerted by the cushion element on the patient and/or the area on the patient where the pressure is exerted by the cushion element in response to a physical quantity acting on the responsive material. The formation of red marks and of air leakages can be reduced or even avoided by means of the responsive material.

The present invention relates to a moving equipment, such as in a medical examination system. In order to provide a facilitated way of moving equipment with high accuracy, a driving device () for moving equipment is provided, comprising a motor-driven positioning unit (), a central processing unit (), and a user interface () with at least one sensor unit (). The motor-driven positioning unit is configured to carry out a movement (M) of movable equipment. Further, the central processing unit is configured to control the movement of the equipment provided by the motor-driven positioning unit. The at least one sensor unit comprises at least one touch sensitive area (), and the at least one sensor unit is configured to provide control signals () to the central processing unit in dependency from a force (F) applied by a user to the at least one touch sensitive area. Still further, the at least one sensor unit is configured to be fixedly attached to the movable equipment.

The invention relates to a lighting device () comprising a light source () and an optical component () adapted for obtaining a predetermined light distribution () at a target area (). The optical component has a substrate () comprising a material that is capable of controllably changing shape when an activating force is applied thereto, and one or more optical elements (). The substrate further comprises a material capable of being switched from a first state comprising a first static modulus to a second state comprising a second static modulus by means of an external stimulus (), the first static modulus being smaller than the second static modulus, the static modulus being calculated as the ratio of strain to stress of the substrate under static conditions. This material is capable of controllably changing shape in the first state and being dimensionally stable in the second state, when no activating force is applied thereto.

Lighting device for obtaining a predetermined light distribution at a target area

The invention relates to a diffuser () for use in a lighting device. The diffuser () comprises an at least partially transparent first layer () and an adjoining at least partially transparent second layer (), the first layer being continuous and comprising a stretchable elastomer, the second layer being a segmented layer comprising a material with a high effective stiffness measured as the product of the thickness of the material and the elastic modulus of the material. The second layer () comprises a non-periodic pattern of segments () having different dimensions. The diffuser is stretchable between a first position in which the first layer is in a non-stretched state and the segments of the second layer are arranged adjacent each other such as to form a substantially continuous layer, and a second position in which the first layer is stretched out and the segments of the second layer are separated from each other such that part of the first layer is exposed.
