An anti-rotation and assembly aid clamp for use in coupling a turbocharger and a catalytic converter. The clamp can include a ring body configured to circumferentially clamp the outlet flange to the inlet flange, a torque application device configured to apply a force about the ring body, and an anti-rotation assembly device configured to be engageable with a first coupling post extending from the turbocharger and a second coupling post extending from the convert to exert a clamping force urging the outlet flange toward the inlet flange.

Converter V-band clamp anti-rotation and assembly aid

A turbocharger for an internal combustion engine having a close coupled catalyst assembly includes a turbine housing having a toroidal-shaped low pressure exhaust gas chamber having a plurality of vanes disposed proximate the outer circumferential wall of the low pressure exhaust gas chamber. The vanes are arranged to disrupt the rotational flow of the exhaust gases as they exit the turbine housing to provide a more even flow though the catalyst element of the close coupled catalyst assembly.

Turbine outlet flow control device

A cover member includes a body member made of a composite material and including a mounting flange. A plurality of compression limiters are disposed in the mounting flange, the compression limiters have a predetermined thickness and an internally threaded aperture therein. The dual function compression limiters eliminate the need for separate threaded inserts. With the dual function compression limiter, every bolt location provides a potential location for a jack screw.

A fastening system includes a fastener having a shank with a threaded portion and a head region disposed at an end of the shank and defining a retaining cavity in an end thereof. A clip includes a base region snap fit in the retaining cavity of the fastener and an anchor region for anchoring a wire harness, hose, cable sheath or other component.

Low profile bolt/clip assembly

A protective cover assembly for a fuel pump in a motor vehicle includes a hooded cover having a first face and a second face in addition to distal and proximate stud bolts, and a base fastener. The hooded cover defines a plurality of apertures operatively configured to receive a corresponding fastener. The distal stud bolt may be operatively configured to affix a distal end of the hooded cover to a cam carrier. The proximate stud bolt may be operatively configured to affix a middle region of the hooded cover to the cam carrier while the base fastener may be operatively configured to affix a lower portion of the hooded cover to the cam carrier. The proximate stud bolt includes an outer diameter feature which is operatively configured to engage with a plunger region of the pump assembly when the proximate cover assembly is subjected to a load.

Protective cover assembly for a fuel pump

A band type clamp for securing together first and second pipe sections each having outwardly projecting flanges with opposing flange faces that extend about the circumference thereof is described. The band type clamp includes a conforming material disposed between the band type clamp and the outwardly projecting flanges and is configured to engage the outwardly projecting flanges and to exert an inwardly directed radial force thereon when the band type clamp is tightened from a first un-tightened position to a second tightened position and to radially pilot the outer surfaces and the first and second pipe sections relative to each other and the corresponding centerlines thereof.
