Embodiments pertain to a novel imaging member, namely, an imaging member or photoreceptor comprising an overcoat layer which comprises a soluble filler that improves low surface energy and wear. The soluble filler is a silicone poly(ethylene glycol) ester which improves low surface energy and wear without negatively impacting electrical properties of the overcoat layer.

Embodiments pertain to a novel imaging member, namely, an imaging member or photoreceptor comprising a binderless overcoat layer which exhibits substantially improved electrical performance, such as low residual potential and good electrical cyclic stability. The overcoat layer of the present embodiments is formed from a formulation comprising a small transport molecule, a crosslinking agent, an acid catalyst and a solvent.

Electrophotographic imaging member and method of making same

The presently disclosed embodiments are directed generally to an improved electrostatographic imaging member in which the overcoat layer comprises cross-linkable polyester resins. The overcoat layer not only provides wear resistance, but it also provides higher charge transport efficiency and therefore better photoelectrical properties. In addition, the polyesters can cross-link with a variety of resins and thus provide good adhesion as well.

A ghost removing device for a marking apparatus includes a photoreceptor, a primary charging device, an erase light generating device to generate an erase light when activated, a voltage source to supply a charge voltage to the primary charging device, and a controller configured to control the at least one voltage source to supply the charge voltage to the primary charging device and to activate the erase light generating device substantially simultaneously after transfer of a toned image within a marking cycle. A ghost removing method for a marking device with a photoreceptor, including performing a partial print cycle, applying an erase light to the photoreceptor, and applying a charge voltage to the photoreceptor, wherein the erase light and the charge voltage are applied to the photoreceptor substantially simultaneously after completion of the partial cycle.
