A vector control composite system and methods for producing a vector control strategy capable of blocking mosquito host-seeking cues for reducing the transmission of mosquito-borne diseases. The vector control composite system comprises a substrate coated with a composition further comprising nanoparticles functionalized to block thermal, vibrational, or gray body energy emission of an emitter, thus interfering with mosquito infrared receptor functions for host-seeking. The vector control composite system may comprise a base substrate coated with an IR ceramic coating having an insulation component, a multispectral signature mitigation component, an IR anti-reflective component, whereby the multispectral signature mitigation component and IR anti-reflective component contain functionalized nanoparticles. Embodiments of the vector control composite system may be incorporated in various textiles used as nets, garments, tents, and equipment.

Mosquito infrared receptor blocker composition and system

Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure provide a system, apparatus, and methods for producing a high-performance camouflage and thermal management composite fabric textile systems. The systems comprise woven and non-woven composite fabrics consisting of layers for thermal and electromagnetic wave propagation as well as human thermal emission control. The systems incorporate thermal plastic insulation, felt insulation, electromagnetic wave absorption materials, electromagnetic wave propagation and thermal emission control elements, and camouflage pigment patterns. Dots containing encapsulated metallic particulates enable omni-spectral electromagnetic wave and thermal radiation signature manipulation and control as well as cost-effective manufacturing. Single blended textile processed via needle punching produces hair/fur-like protrusions made from a multilayer fabric composition having EM wave and thermal radiation control elements. The protrusions subsequently contain EM propagation and thermal emission control elements on their surfaces for omni-spectral camouflage and detection mitigation. The systems expand the options for meeting the demands of today and future stealth missions.

Omni-spectral camouflage and thermoregulation composition

A system, apparatus, composition and methods for producing a modular, ultra-thin, ultra-lightweight thermal camouflage, thermal signature mitigation and thermal insulation system. The thermal management system may comprise one or more composite layers or combinations of ultra-thin and ultra-lightweight non-woven stealth coated substrates. Each composite layer may be coated with specific components to create different thermal camouflage through a biomimicry application process of absorbance, reflective, protective layering, thermal signature mitigation, and/or thermal insulation system capabilities. Layers can be combined to enable dynamic stealth camouflage tunable performances of reflectivity, transmission, emissivity, or absorption in selective visible, near infrared, and infrared wavelength bands whereby each substrate has a unique EM wave propagation control or thermal signature mitigation characteristics. Embodiments enable thermal camouflage, thermal signature mitigation, and thermal insulation solutions that are adaptable to specific battlefield scenarios or environmental requirements.
