The present invention provides a cloud computing based system for compliance monitoring of vehicles and users of hydrocarbon wellsites and methods of implementing compliance monitoring service. The system includes at least one access control station located in the compliance monitored hydrocarbon wellsite and a cloud system server to manage the compliance monitoring of the hydrocarbon wellsites. The cloud system server can analyze an access code data and geolocation data received from a mobile computing device of a user, who is desiring to enter or exit a hydrocarbon wellsite or a portion of it, to authenticate the user, to determine whether the user is entering or exiting the hydrocarbon wellsite, and to identify the location of the access control station where the user entry or exit occurs.

Access monitoring system for compliance

A drilling system for use in rotary coiled tubing drilling of deviated wellbores is provided. The drilling system includes a base, a derrick mounted on the base, a top drive system mounted on the derrick; and a coiled tubing module. The coiled tubing module is adapted to move a coiled tubing in and out of the deviated wellbore and coupled to the top drive system on the derrick. A capsule of the coiled tubing module, which holds a coil of coiled tubing, is carried and rotated by the top drive system to transfer torque to the coiled tubing moving in and out of the deviated wellbore to perform rotary coiled tubing drilling.

Systems using continuous pipe for deviated wellbore operations

A well system for recovering hydrocarbons such as heavy crude oil from subsurface reservoirs is provided. The well system includes a single continuous wellbore extending from a surface entry opening to a surface exit opening. A substantially horizontal section of the wellbore is formed within the subsurface reservoir. In one embodiment, a plurality of heater-lifter units are movably disposed within the substantially horizontal wellbore section. The heater-lifter units are configured to apply heat to subsurface reservoir surrounding the substantially horizontal wellbore section to mobilize the hydrocarbons. A lifting mechanism is configured to move the heater-lifter units in bidirectional manner within the continuous wellbore so that the produced low viscosity hydrocarbons are mechanically lifted to the surface.

Systems and methods for recovering bitumen from subterranean formations

A method for directional drilling a subterranean borehole includes transforming surface sensor measurements from time domain sensor data to frequency domain sensor data. A rotary drilling parameter may be changed when a parameter of the frequency domain sensor data reaches a threshold or is within a predetermined range of values.

Frequency analysis of drilling signals

The present invention provides a system for compliance monitoring of vehicles and users of hydrocarbon wellsites and method of use. The system includes at least one portable access control station located in the monitored hydrocarbon wellsite and a system server at a monitoring center. The system server is configured to be in communication with the portable access control station via a network. The portable access control station includes a checkpoint monitor and an access control unit. The portable access control station is configured to monitor vehicle and personnel access related events in the hydrocarbon wellsite and send data related to the events to the system server.

A drilling system for use in rotary coiled tubing drilling of deviated wellbores is provided. The coiled tubing module is adapted to move the coiled tubing in and out of the deviated wellbore and coupled to the top drive system on the derrick. The coiled tubing module is carried and rotated by the top drive system to transfer torque to the coiled tubing moving in and out of the deviated wellbore to perform rotary coiled tubing drilling.

A method of and system for directional drilling reduces the friction between the drill string and the well bore. A downhole drilling motor is connected to the surface by a drill string. The drilling motor is oriented at a selected tool face angle. The drill string is rotated at said surface location in a first direction until a first torque magnitude without changing the tool face angle. The drill string is then rotated in the opposite direction until a second torque magnitude is reached, again without changing the tool face angle. The drill string is rocked back and forth between the first and second torque magnitudes.

Method and apparatus for directional drilling

A system for compliance monitoring of a user of a monitored location is provided. The system includes at least one checkpoint monitor installed in the monitored location and a system server at a monitoring center being configured to be in communication with each checkpoint monitor via a network. Each checkpoint monitor includes a checkpoint server and being configured to monitor access to the monitored area. Each checkpoint monitor is configured to perform an authentication process to authenticate both an assignment status and an activity status of a user and transmit the resulting data to the system server.

Access monitoring system for remote locations

A radio broadcast system and method can assist employees in a hydrocarbon field that is compliance monitored using a checkpoint monitor installed therein. A radio transmitter located on the checkpoint monitor is configured to transmit a broadcast signal including a radio program, in a selected radio broadcast band, to be received by a radio device on a vehicle occupied by the employees of the compliance monitored hydrocarbon field. The radio program includes company rules and regulations, safety related information and employee activity status and assignment status information for the hydrocarbon field.
