A cartridge for use in a pulse energy enhanced turbine of a turbocharger. At least first and second fixed separating blades () are provided between a nozzle ring () and a disk (), the separating blades () maintaining separation of exhaust gas flows through a guide grid between a divided volute and a turbine wheel (). Exhaust pulsation energy from different cylinders or cylinder groups of an engine or engine bank are kept separated up to the turbine wheel, so that the turbine wheel reacts to individual pulses of exhaust gas flow from engine exhaust ports.

Cartridge for pulse-separated variable turbine geometry turbochargers

A turbine wheel for a turbine of an exhaust gas turbocharger. The turbine wheel has a base body comprising a back wall and a plurality of turbine blades, connected to the base body, which each comprise a leading edge. The leading edges are designed to be wave shaped.

Turbine wheel for a turbine

An exhaust-gas turbocharger, preferably for a passenger vehicle, including a turbine having a turbine wheel and a turbine housing. A number of S&#x2265;2 of channels are formed in the turbine housing and are intended for guiding the exhaust gas onto the turbine wheel. Each channel directs flow against the turbine wheel over the entire width of the latter, as seen in the axial direction, and over a segment, as seen in relation to the circumferential direction. The turbine wheel has a number of Z&#x2265;10 turbine blades. The turbine blades are defined in the form of main blades and intermediate blades. The intermediate blades, at least at their hub-side ends, do not extend as far toward the turbine outlet, as seen in the axial direction, as the main blades.

Exhaust-gas turbocharger

An exhaust-gas turbocharger () having a turbine housing () which has a turbine spiral (); and a compressor housing () which has a compressor spiral (). An internal flow-guiding spiral surface (orrespectively) of the turbine spiral () and/or of the compressor spiral () is machined in a material-removing process.
