A method includes obtaining, from an image sensor of a vehicle, an image signal that represents a vector of a plurality of input measured color values; determining weighting values as a function of the input measured values using a determination rule; ascertaining model matrices from a plurality of stored model matrices as a function of the weighting values, each of the model matrices generated for possible input measured values using a training rule; generating a color reconstruction matrix using the ascertained model matrices and at least one of the determined weighting values according to a generating rule; and applying the generated color reconstruction matrix to the measured color value vector in order to produce an output color vector that represents a processed image signal.

A light sensor module is described. The light sensor module includes a sensor layer having a plurality of sensor cells. The sensor cells each has at least two sensor pixels, each for acquiring a different light property or transfer characteristic. The sensor pixels are configured in columns and rows. In addition, the light sensor module includes a signal processing unit for processing sensor signals of the sensor pixels. The sensor pixels of each column are connected in electrically conductive fashion to the signal processing unit via at least one read line each assigned to a different light property. Likewise, the sensor pixels of each row are connected in electrically conductive fashion to the signal processing unit via at least one selection line. The signal processing unit is designed to select row-by-row, via the selection line, the sensor pixels to be read out via the read line.

A method for sampling an image sensor, the image sensor having a lattice structure having a plurality of triangular sensor elements. In the lattice structure, sensor elements situated adjacent to one another are configured to detect light having respectively different light properties. The method includes a step of reading out the image sensor by sampling a plurality of sensor elements of the lattice structure that are configured to detect light in a same first wavelength range, one sensor signal being read out per sensor element in the step of reading out. In addition, the method includes a step of buffering the read-out sensor signals and a step of producing an item of image information assigned to a point of acquisition of the image sensor, using the buffered sensor signals.

A pixel unit for an image sensor. The pixel unit includes a photodiode for converting alight signal into a processing signal, a multiplexer unit that is designed for using the processing signal to generate at least a first multiplexer signal and a second multiplexer signal that deviates therefrom, and a storage device having at least a first storage unit for buffer storing a time-limited integral value of the first multiplexer signal and a second storage unit for buffer storing a time-limited integral value of the second multiplexer signal. The pixel unit makes possible a time-overlapped sampling of the first multiplexer signal and of the second multiplexer signal.

A method for determining a headlight range alignment of at least one first headlight of a motor vehicle. The motor vehicle includes at least one optical sensor which is designed for detecting at least one part of a first illuminated area of the first headlight and generating a first image having the part of the first illuminated area. The method includes the following steps: reading in the first image from the optical sensor, selecting at least one first image area in the first image, whereby a cut-off line of the first headlight is intended to be imaged in the first image area, and determining the headlight range alignment as a function of the first image area.

In a method for testing an image sensor having (i) regular pixels and test pixels, of which each is interconnected with one of two predefined voltage values, and (ii) a signal processing unit for providing digital signal values for output voltages of the pixels and test pixels, the following steps are performed: receiving digital signal values of the test pixels; and using the signal values of at least one proper or improper subset of the test pixels for testing the image sensor, all test pixels of the subset being interconnected with a first of the two voltage values. The method includes a step of determining an image property of an item of image information, based on a plurality of items of light intensity information and on a plurality of parameters, each of the plurality of parameters being associated with each of the plurality of image sensors. This method also includes a step of ascertaining a plurality of parameter values for the plurality of parameters, in which the image property is at least made to approximate an ideal image property, the plurality of parameters representing the fly screen effect in a model of the image capture unit.
