A power distribution system includes a plurality of power distribution modules connected to at least one power supply and configured to receive power therefrom. A power distribution bus connects the power distribution modules of the plurality of power distribution modules in parallel. The plurality of power distribution modules executes a distributed system policy management protocol over the power distribution bus to control a supply of available power from the at least one power supply to loads connected to USB charging ports of the power distribution modules.

Power distribution system

An in-floor electrical fitting includes a lower body, an upper body detachably connected to the lower body, and at least one detachable retention clip movable between a first position in which a portion of the at least one detachable retention clip extends outwardly past a periphery of the body and a second position in which the portion of the at least one detachable retention clip is moved inward from the periphery of the body. An angular position of the upper body may be reconfigurable relative to the lower body into at least two different orientations.

In-floor electrical fitting

An in-floor electrical fitting has a lower body that includes two half-bodies made of intumescent material. Each half-body includes a removable access wall that is also made of intumescent material and that is inserted into slots formed in the half-body. The removable access wall has at least one reduced-thickness section that can be broken off from the removable access wall to create a passageway through the removable access wall. During installation, the two access walls can be removed to allow an installer to a lay a conduit that will pass through the passageway through each access wall when the access walls are reinserted. An installer can pass power wires from one small compartment to another through the conduit while complying with code requirements calling for the separation of power and data cables.

A poke-thru floor system includes a poke-thru interface portion, a base and a cover. The poke-thru interface portion allows cable to pass through a floor structure. The base may be disposed on an upper surface of the floor structure and has an opening for communicating with the poke-thru interface portion. The cover interfaces with the base to form a longitudinal passage and is formed to be substantially the same shape as an upper surface of a cable raceway.

A rising receptacle box assembly includes a receptacle assembly for housing receptacles and jacks. The receptacle assembly can move between a lowered position and a raised position. In the raised position, the receptacle assembly is substantially level with a work surface on which the rising receptacle box assembly is supported, so that the receptacles and jacks are easily accessible. In the lowered position, the receptacle assembly is lowered beneath the work surface so that inserted plugs and connectors are stowed away in a recess below the work surface. Raising and lowering of the receptacle assembly can be coupled to the opening and closing of a lid of the rising receptacle box assembly. The lid may include one or more cutouts so that cables associated with inserted plugs and connectors can pass through when the receptacle assembly moves to the lowered position.

Rising receptacle box assembly

A cover assembly for use on a recessed in-floor fitting. The cover assembly includes a flange configured to be mounted along the surface of a floor and a cover rotatably connected to the flange and configured to be moved with respect to the flange from a closed position covering the interior of the in-floor fitting to an open position allowing access to the interior. The cover includes a gasket that forms a radial seal along an inner wall of the flange when the cover is in the closed position and at least one door that is movable from a closed position that covers up an egress passageway in the cover to an open position that exposes the egress passageway. The door is configured to slide under a top surface of the cover when moved between the open and closed positions and is biased toward the closed position.

Cover for recessed electrical outlet box

A bracket system for retaining an outlet box in a hole in a floor. The bracket system includes an insert body configured to be positioned in the hole in the floor, a cover configured to cover the insert body, and at least first and second brackets. Each bracket includes a base plate configured to be mounted in the insert body. The base plate includes at least one leg extending therefrom and at least one barb extending therefrom. The insert body includes holes in an exterior wall thereof through which the barbs of the first and second brackets extend to resistably engage the wall of the hole to retain the insert body in the hole and the legs of the first and second brackets are secured to the cover.

Retention and mounting bracket for recessed electrical outlet box

A divided raceway has runs that must traverse a corner in a wall structure. A raceway elbow assembly has an L-shaped base with mutually perpendicular leg portions adapted to abut the wall at that corner. Divider walls are carried by these flat leg portions, but allow flexing of the elbow leg portions as a result of a V-shaped gap between the divider walls at the vertex of the L-shaped elbow, or as a result of the divider wall overlapping one another in this region.

Internal and external elbow base fittings have longer sides or legs that can be selectively severed at lines of weakening to make up the raceway base. The offset assembly also includes cover components that snap onto these elbow base fittings, and may match the perimeter raceway system with which the offset assembly is used.

A two piece metal raceway has a cross sectional area to accommodate a given cable volume, and where an outlet device is to be mounted, a raised cover affords greater depth to avoid reduction in this cross sectional area. If the raceway includes adjacent raceways separated by a divider, the raised cover requires a divider as well. However, such a divider cannot interfere with the volume required for mounting the device in the raised cover in the associated raceway. The solution disclosed provides for a unique offset divider that accommodates the device in one raceway, yet leaves sufficient space for the wiring/cabling in the adjacent raceway.
