The invention concerns a soda-lime glass. Said colored glass contains at least 5 parts per million of Co by weight and 0.5 to 0.9 wt. % FeOoxide. The amount of ferrous iron by weight of Featoms relative to the total weight of iron atoms present in the glass ranges between 25 and 45%. Said glass further comprises chromium and/or vanadium. The glass has a light transmission factor TLA4 ranging between 10 and 50% and an energy transmission wavelength less than 491 nm. Said glass is particularly suited for producing blue-tinted glazing for motor vehicles.

Coloured soda-lime glass

The invention relates to a coloured soda-lime glass of blue hue, containing more thanwt. % of MgO, more thanwt. % of FeO, less thanwt. % of FeO and less thanwt. % of MnO, and presenting under Illuminant A and for a glass thickness ofmm, a transmission factor (TLA) higher than%, a selectivity (SE) higher thanand a dominant wavelength (&#x3bb;) and a purity of excitation (P) such that they are located in the CIE chromaticity co-ordinate diagram inside a triangle whereof the apices are defined by the point representing the illuminant source C and the points whereof the co-ordinates (&#x3bb;, P) are () and () respectively. Said glass is particularly suitable for motor vehicle side windows, rear windows and sun roof.

Soda-lime glass of blue hue

The invention relates to blue colored sodiocalcic glass. It contains 0.15 to 1.1 wt. % FeO, has a redox that does not exceed 45%, exhibits a dominant wavelength (&#x3bb;) in the range of 490 and 493 nm and a luminous transmission (TLA4) in addition to an excitation purity (P) satisfying the relation P&#x3e;&#x2212;0.3&#xd7;TLA4+24.5. The inventive glass is particularly suitable for windscreens, side windows and rear-window defoggers in motor vehicles and glazing in buildings.

Blue sodiocalcic glass

The invention concerns a colored soda-lime glass comprising an amount of MgO more than 2%, an amount of FeOless than 1.1%, and amount of MnOless than 1300 ppm, an amount of Co more that 55 ppm and it has a selectivity (SE4) higher than 1.2 and a dominant wavelength &#x3bb;not exceeding 490 nm and excitation purity (P) more than 10%. Said glass is particularly suited for rear side windows, back windows and glass sun roofs for motor vehicle.

Colored soda-lime glass

The invention concerns a coloured soda-lime glass deep coloured with a green-to-blue shade. It contains 0.40 to 0.52 wt. % of FeO, present under illuminant A and for a glass thickness of 4 mm, a light transmittance (TLA4) less than 70%, a selectivity (SE4) higher than 1.65 and an ultraviolet radiation transmittance (TUV4) less than 8%. Said glass is particularly suited for lateral rear glazing and rear glazing for motor vehicles.

Deep coloured green-to-blue shade soda-lime glass

The invention concerns a colored soda glass of green shade comprising at most 0.27 wt. % of FeO and has under a standard illuminant A and for a thickness of 4 mm, a light transmission (TLA-4) less then 70%, a selectivity (SE4) higher than 1.50 and an ultraviolet radiation transmission (TUV4) less than 20%. Said glass is particularly suited for vehicle side glazing and rear windows.

Green soda glass

A soda-lime glass which has a gray-green color, an excitation purity (P) of more than 7%, a light transmission of greater than 30% under Illuminant A and for a glass thickness of 4 mm, a selectivity (SE4) of greater than 1.55, and an ultraviolet radiation transmission (TUV4) of less than 10%, and which comprises soda-lime glass forming constituents as main constituents and coloring agents consisting essentially of, in weight %, more than 0.25 and less than 0.4% of FeO, from 0.9 to 1.8% of Fe O , from 0.001 to 0.010% of Co, from 0.0100 to 0.024% of Cr O , and from 0 to 0.2% of V O , in which the total quantity of iron is expressed as Fe O .
