The invention concerns a process for the representation of a scanning function by means of a neuronal network and a device for the implementation of the process, whereby measurement values associated with a turbulent wave front, which contain phase information, are compared with reference values, with the result that the intermediate values thus obtained can be compared with comparison functions, in order, in the best case, to describe the measured pattern with a selection of comparison functions, whereby a neuronal network is trained in the comparison functions, so that the processing of the measured pattern can take place in near-real time.

Process and device for representation of a scanning function

A laser device includes an outcoupling mirror, a laser medium, a phase-conjugate mirror based on stimulated Brillouin scattering, and an end mirror all arranged along an optical axis of the laser device. A controllable modulator is positioned between the phase-conjugate mirror and the end mirror. The outcoupling mirror and the end mirror form a start cavity. The outcoupling mirror and the phase-conjugate mirror form a main cavity.

Laser device

A heat capacity laser having a solid lasing medium, at least one pumping source that is able to emit a pumping radiation, and an optical cavity that can be characterized by having: at least one device able to homogenize the pumping radiation, a doped lasing medium having a body with a first and a second end and being stretched in the length by more than 6 cm and whose height in cross section is less than its stretching in the length of the lasing medium. The doping concentration in the lasing medium may vary axially. Also either the cavity can have beam forming optics and the doping concentration of the lasing medium is radially uniform, or the cavity can have no beam forming optics and the lasing medium has a doping concentration that may vary radially.

Heat capacity laser and associated lasing medium

The invention is in the field of laser radiation generation in bands II and III, and relates to a device for generating laser radiation in the infrared having means for modifying the amplified-radiation frequency and using the Raman effect, characterized by additionally having at least one diode able to emit laser radiation in the 1.8-2.1 &#x3bc;m frequency range, at least one current generator able to generate current levels at an adjustable repetition rate, means for supplying said current levels to said diode, and means for amplifying the laser radiation emitted by said diode and comprised of at least one fiber doped with an ion having laser activity in the diode emission range.
